That update had shipments ranging from mid-November for the 512MB+4GB EU 3G model with the remainder running through December. Well, while we aren’t expecting that timeline to change, it does appear as if Omate has begun the final stages of prep work to ensure all backers receive their reward. </p> <p><img src="http://cdn.androidcommunity.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Omate-TrueSmart_SLASHGEAR_022211.jpg" alt="Omate-TrueSmart_SLASHGEAR_02221" width="540" height="422" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-163727" /></p> <p><span></span></p> <p>Simply put, the folks at Omate have begun sending out the “TrueSmart Pledge Re-Confirmation” emails. These are simple and are basically just asking users to confirm everything they submitted when the <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/tag/kickstarter/">Kickstarter</a> period ended and the payments were initially withdrawn. We have yet to receive word from Omate as to whether these went to all backers, however we can say that one has appeared in our inbox.</p> <p>Admittedly, we were amongst the first few backers and got in as part of the Early Bird #1 group. Anyway, this is a simple email that has you replying back with any requested information and/or changes. Unfortunately the email does not offer anything in terms of an updated shipping timeline, or specific date. Needless to say, we will be on the lookout for additional emails to follow.</p> <p>That all being said, we are curious to get hands-on with the TrueSmart and will have a hands-on and review posted after our unit arrives. We are a bit disappointed with some of the recent news, notably, with the lack of Play Store availability, but for that, we are hoping there is some interest and a solution to root, unlock and do some playing comes.</p> <p>Otherwise, Omate has also shared some recent images on <a href="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.188880581302151.1073741832.128695817320628&type=1">Facebook</a>. These pics are of the TrueSmart in the factory. The gallery contains quite a few images and Omate has shown everything from workers doing the assembly to parts of the watch and even a few of the exploded view t-shirt that was available for backers to add in along with their watch.</p> <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/omate-truesmart-shipping-preparations-being-made-20131116/1426726_188880617968814_793205887_n/"><img width="150" height="150" src="http://cdn.androidcommunity.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/1426726_188880617968814_793205887_n-150x150.jpg" class="attachment-thumbnail" alt="1426726_188880617968814_793205887_n" /></a> <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/omate-truesmart-shipping-preparations-being-made-20131116/1460195_188880621302147_1067563724_n/"><img width="150" height="150" src="http://cdn.androidcommunity.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/1460195_188880621302147_1067563724_n-150x150.jpg" class="attachment-thumbnail" alt="1460195_188880621302147_1067563724_n" /></a> <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/omate-truesmart-shipping-preparations-being-made-20131116/1468499_188880931302116_1594841588_n/"><img width="150" height="150" src="http://cdn.androidcommunity.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/1468499_188880931302116_1594841588_n-150x150.jpg" class="attachment-thumbnail" alt="1468499_188880931302116_1594841588_n" /></a> <div> <div> <h4>Story Timeline</h4> <ul> <li><a href="http://androidcommunity.com/omate-truesmart-will-not-ship-with-google-play-preloaded-20131022/">Omate TrueSmart "will not ship" with Google Play preloaded</a></li> <li><a href="http://androidcommunity.com/omate-truesmart-desktop-charging-cradle-unveiled-20131023/">Omate TrueSmart desktop charging cradle unveiled</a></li> <li><a href="http://androidcommunity.com/omate-truesmart-retail-packaging-pictured-alongside-october-delivery-update-20131028/">Omate TrueSmart retail packaging pictured alongside October delivery update</a></li> <li><a href="http://androidcommunity.com/omate-truesmart-october-developer-edition-shipping-delay-confirmed-20131030/">Omate TrueSmart "October Developer Edition" shipping delay confirmed </a></li> <li><a href="http://androidcommunity.com/omate-truesmart-kickstarter-shipments-will-run-through-december-20131110/">Omate TrueSmart Kickstarter shipments will run through December</a></li> </ul></div> </div></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="https://blogtrottr.com/spot/4Y1F/0/2G79" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; line-height:16px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br><br> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/d2s/cqqQ2X">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> <div class="blogger-post-footer">Do visit the blog: http://androidworldupdates.blogspot.com</div>Android Worldhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18289603637095931796noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6393185937627846762.post-77635692136412490772013-11-16T14:36:00.001+05:302013-11-16T14:36:11.248+05:30Android World Update # Top 5 News: KitKat schedule, 4.3 problems, Hangouts and offline GMaps<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; margin-bottom:6px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;line-height:16px;">Android News + App Tests - AndroidPIT</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">This feed includes text previews of the latest news articles and app tests on www.androidpit.com. The <a href="http://www.androidpit.com/motorola-officially-unloads-the-moto-g" target="_top">Moto G</a>, the super cheap international variant of the Moto X, was officially released to much fanfare, and major updates were made to <a href="http://www.androidpit.com/official-google-search-update" target="_top">Google Search</a>, <a href="http://www.androidpit.com/facebook-messenger-update" target="_top">Facebook</a>, <a href="http://www.androidpit.com/viber-update-gets-tablet-support" target="_top">Viber</a>, <a href="http://www.androidpit.com/chrome-v31-update-for-android-released" target="_top">Chrome</a> and <a href="http://www.androidpit.com/google-hangouts-2-0-google-play" target="_top">Hangouts</a>. <a href="http://www.androidpit.com/cyanogenmod-installer-now-available-in-google-play" target="_top">CyanogenMod Installer</a> also finally made it to the Play Store, bringing the custom ROM scene to a Play Store audience. For your money, you're getting a package that should be familiar to folks who were interested in the <a href="http://www.androidcentral.com/acer-announces-new-c720-chromebook-haswell">prior Acer C7 Chromebook</a>, save one line item — the RAM. </p> <p>The new C7 comes with just 2GB of RAM, but also has the same Haswell architecture, 11.6-inch screen and 16GB SSD. The current C7, which will remain available — there are no plans to replace it just yet — comes with 4GB of RAM, and a $249 price tag.</p> <p>Certainly Acer and Google want to get your attention with the price, and any computer listing at $199 is worth a second look. But will new users be able to adapt to <a href="http://androidcentral.com/tags/chromeos">Chrome OS</a>? For many, web consumption as a primary goal is currently done on a tablet, and being productive means getting out the laptop that can run Microsoft Office or a code editor. Shifting to Chrome comes with a learning curve, and there are still things you just can't do with it.</p> <p>In the end, we think you're better served spending the extra $50 to get the 4GB version if you're buying, especially if you're planning to do any work — now or in the future as the OS matures — from a Chromebook. This, as you'll recall, is the tri-band LTE that hands off between the 800MHz, 1.9GHz and 2.5GHz bands, promising theoretical peak speeds of 50 Mbps to 60 Mbps. (Your mileage will — cough — vary .) It's also available on the Samsung Galaxy Mega, Galaxy S4 Mini and the LG G2.</p> <p>And that is the continuously spinning data icon that goes along with it.</p> <p>Maybe it's not any worse than the animations other operators use. But it's certainly more noticeable. And it's also spinning its little pixels off even if you're not in one of the five Spark launch cities of New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami or Tampa.</p> <p>More: <a href="http://newsroom.sprint.com/presskits/sprint-spark.htm">Sprint Spark</a></p><img width="1" height="1" src="http://androidcentral.com.feedsportal.com/c/33995/f/616884/s/33baddbc/sc/5/mf.gif" border="0" /><br clear='all'/><div><table border='0'><tr><td valign='middle'><a href="http://share.feedsportal.com/share/twitter/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.androidcentral.com%2Fsprint-doesn-t-want-you-forget-you-ve-got-dizzingly-fast-spark-lte-data&t=Sprint+doesn%27t+want+you+to+forget+you%27ve+got+dizzingly+fast+Spark+LTE+data" target="_blank"><img src="http://res3.feedsportal.com/social/twitter.png" border="0" /></a> <a href="http://share.feedsportal.com/share/facebook/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.androidcentral.com%2Fsprint-doesn-t-want-you-forget-you-ve-got-dizzingly-fast-spark-lte-data&t=Sprint+doesn%27t+want+you+to+forget+you%27ve+got+dizzingly+fast+Spark+LTE+data" target="_blank"><img src="http://res3.feedsportal.com/social/facebook.png" border="0" /></a> <a href="http://share.feedsportal.com/share/linkedin/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.androidcentral.com%2Fsprint-doesn-t-want-you-forget-you-ve-got-dizzingly-fast-spark-lte-data&t=Sprint+doesn%27t+want+you+to+forget+you%27ve+got+dizzingly+fast+Spark+LTE+data" target="_blank"><img src="http://res3.feedsportal.com/social/linkedin.png" border="0" /></a> <a href="http://share.feedsportal.com/share/gplus/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.androidcentral.com%2Fsprint-doesn-t-want-you-forget-you-ve-got-dizzingly-fast-spark-lte-data&t=Sprint+doesn%27t+want+you+to+forget+you%27ve+got+dizzingly+fast+Spark+LTE+data" target="_blank"><img src="http://res3.feedsportal.com/social/googleplus.png" border="0" /></a> <a href="http://share.feedsportal.com/share/email/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.androidcentral.com%2Fsprint-doesn-t-want-you-forget-you-ve-got-dizzingly-fast-spark-lte-data&t=Sprint+doesn%27t+want+you+to+forget+you%27ve+got+dizzingly+fast+Spark+LTE+data" target="_blank"><img src="http://res3.feedsportal.com/social/email.png" border="0" /></a></td></tr></table></div><br/><br/><a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/180263600453/u/49/f/616884/c/33995/s/33baddbc/sc/5/rc/1/rc.htm"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/180263600453/u/49/f/616884/c/33995/s/33baddbc/sc/5/rc/1/rc.img" border="0" /></a><br/><a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/180263600453/u/49/f/616884/c/33995/s/33baddbc/sc/5/rc/2/rc.htm"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/180263600453/u/49/f/616884/c/33995/s/33baddbc/sc/5/rc/2/rc.img" border="0" /></a><br/><a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/180263600453/u/49/f/616884/c/33995/s/33baddbc/sc/5/rc/3/rc.htm"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/180263600453/u/49/f/616884/c/33995/s/33baddbc/sc/5/rc/3/rc.img" border="0" /></a><br/><br/><a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/180263600453/u/49/f/616884/c/33995/s/33baddbc/a2.htm"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/180263600453/u/49/f/616884/c/33995/s/33baddbc/a2.img" border="0" /></a><img width="1" height="1" src="http://pi.feedsportal.com/r/180263600453/u/49/f/616884/c/33995/s/33baddbc/a2t.img" border="0" /><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/androidcentral/~4/S560zGNx_pY" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="https://blogtrottr.com/spot/4Y1F/0/fsd" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; A good example of this is the AllTheNotifications (ATN) Manager app created by XDA forum member <em>Sepiroth887</em>. Until the release of the ATN Manager app, users could only receive full notification messages from the text and email apps on their associated devices. The ATN Manager app worked around that limitation by enabling full notification information from any app selected by the user. Samsung has replicated that functionality in a new update to their <em>Gear Manager</em> app.</p> <p>The update to <em>Gear Manager</em> does require the latest firmware update on the Galaxy Gear. Once updated, users can select which apps can send notifications to the smartwatch. Users are no longer limited to only certain predefined apps as any app capable of providing a notification on Android should work. On a Galaxy Gear device, an option exists to let users display the notification on their smartphone instead of the Galaxy Gear. Users who want the update should head to the Samsung Apps store to grab it.</p> <p>source: <a href="http://redirectingat.com?id=3031X597718&xs=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sammobile.com%2F2013%2F11%2F15%2Fgalaxy-gear-just-became-more-awesome-now-shows-full-notifications-for-every-app%2F&sref=rss">SamMobile</a></p> <p><br /> <strong>Come comment on this article: <a href="http://www.talkandroid.com/184370-full-notifications-better-app-control-come-to-galaxy-gear/">Full notifications, better app control come to Galaxy Gear</a></strong> <br /> <div><small>Visit <a rel="dofollow" href="http://www.talkandroid.com/">TalkAndroid for Android news</a>, <a rel="dofollow" href="http://www.talkandroid.com/guides/">Android guides</a>, and much more!</small></div></p> <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AndroidNewsGoogleAndroidForums/~4/UBBd0ol7bqo" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="https://blogtrottr.com/spot/4Y1F/0/Ptc" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; line-height:16px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br><br> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/d2s/Kphq1">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> <div class="blogger-post-footer">Do visit the blog: http://androidworldupdates.blogspot.com</div>Android Worldhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18289603637095931796noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6393185937627846762.post-72400267859460878582013-11-15T23:47:00.000+05:302013-11-15T23:48:02.012+05:30Android World Update # The Android Evolution, Chapter 1: A Smooth Experience<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; margin-bottom:6px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;line-height:16px;">AndroidGuys</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">Android news and opinion </span></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="border:1px solid #555555; background-color: #555555; color: #ffc40d; padding:8px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; line-height:16px; margin-bottom:6px;"> <tr> <td width="130" valign="top"><a href="http://www.launchbit.com/aa/10742ddea7/"><img src="http://www.launchbit.com/taz-i/4397-yogasq.jpg" /></a></td> <td> <table width="100%"> <tr><td height="100px"><a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:16px; color: #ffc40d;" href="http://www.launchbit.com/aa/10742ddea7/">Get healthier and fit with celebrity yoga instructor, Sadie Nardini.</a><br /><br /><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:13px; color: #ffc40d;">The course will teach you a 14 day routine so you can maintain a body more free of toxins and extra weight. </span><img src="http://www.launchbit.com/ap/10742ddea7/" /></td></tr> <tr><td align="right" valign="bottom" style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color: #c7a745;" align="right">From our sponsors</td></tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <a name="item_0"></a> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="font:13px Helvetica, sans-serif; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; background-color:#fff; padding:8px; margin-bottom:6px; border:1px solid #adadad;"> <tr> <td> <a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; letter-spacing:-1px;margin:0;padding:0 0 2px;font-weight: bold;font-size: 19px;line-height: 20px;color:#222;" href="http://www.androidguys.com/2013/11/15/android-evolution-part-1-gpu-optimization/">The Android Evolution, Chapter 1: A Smooth Experience</a> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align:left;color:#999;font-size:11px;font-weight:bold;line-height:15px;">Nov 15th 2013, 18:11, by Thijs Koot </div> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#494949;text-align:justify;font-size:13px;"> <p><p>Welcome to the first chapter in ‘<em>The Android Evolution</em>‘, a series in which we discuss what improvements have been made to Android and what could further be implemented in order to improve our beloved operation system. In the first episode we will discuss how Google has improved Android in terms of offering a smooth and fluid user experience and what changes were made in order to accomplish this goal. Without further ado, let’s dive in now, shall we?</p> <h3>Where’s my GPU?</h3> <p>One of the major flaws Android had to deal with until Honeycomb came along was the lack of GPU acceleration for the UI. This caused people to complain about Android being sluggish and slow, a flaw mostly used when comparing high-end Android devices to Apple's iPhone. One thing Apple did very well with the production of the first iPhone was making sure the device felt fluid in use. It may not have been the fastest in terms of actual speed but it felt like it was substantially faster than it's competitors due to a fluid UI operation.</p> <p>Manufacturers like Samsung managed to work their way around this issue by implementing some rudimentary form of hardware acceleration themselves but still it wasn’t enough to compete with the biggest competitor out there, the iPhone. Google realized this and implemented hardware acceleration for the UI in Honeycomb, an Android version solely made for tablets. Now I'm not saying Honeycomb was the solution to all Android's problems because at the best it was a sign of good things to come: Honeycomb itself was terribly optimized and in reality more a beta program than a finished and polished version.</p> <h3>Ice Cream Sandwich: Road to perfection</h3> <p><a href="http://www.androidguys.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/1533.png"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-60186" style="margin: 10px;" alt="1533" src="http://www.androidguys.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/1533.png" width="256" height="256" /></a> Still, Google had to start somewhere. Because Honeycomb was designated for tablets only, it became obvious the company was working on a newer Android version for both phones and tablets, merging the best of both worlds into one new version: Ice Cream Sandwich. I'll honestly say I was kind of hesitant to try out Ice Cream Sandwich because I owned a Honeycomb tablet back then and let's just say it wasn’t exactly a clear competitor to the iPad. In some terms it was, yes. Multitasking was superb or at least the UI for it was, the actual speed of switching between apps was disappointing to say the least, probably partly due to the slow Tegra2 processor which virtually all Android tablets were running on.</p> <h1><span> Boy was I wrong, Ice Cream Sandwich was the best thing that had ever happened to my tablet. Even the unofficial builds I installed which were labeled pre-beta were smooth as butter. I also bought the Galaxy Nexus when it came out and even though it had the same specifications as quite a few older phones it was labeled by me and many other reviewers as possibly the best phone out there at the moment. Still, Google was not satisfied.</span></h1> <h3>Smooth as butter</h3> <p>In Android 4.2, Jelly Bean, Google went one step further and introduced Project Butter. The name already spoils the contents of Project Butter but for you ignorant folks out there, it consisted of a bunch of optimizations to make Android feel smooth as – you probably guessed it – butter. I'll try to explain them briefly. There were three major improvements: Vsync, triple buffering and touch responsiveness.</p> <a href="http://www.androidguys.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/google-project-butter.jpg"><img class=" wp-image-60187 alignright" style="margin: 10px;" alt="google-project-butter" src="http://www.androidguys.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/google-project-butter.jpg" width="468" height="256" /></a> <p>Vsync locks the amount of frames your phone shows to the maximum refresh rate of your phone's display. This may sound a little complicated but what it basically means is this: Your display can output a certain number of images per second, usually 60, and Vsync makes sure your phone always outputs this amount of frames. There's no need to produce 100 frames per second if your display can't show them and it might cause screen tearing so Vsync takes care of this issue for you. This also works the other way around, so if your phone has trouble keeping up it will no longer visually lag, there will always be 60 frames per second shown on your screen.</p> <p>Triple buffering allows your CPU, GPU and display to work together better. It's pretty hard to explain the exact mechanics behind this but a real life comparison should do the trick. Let's say you're hosting a party and have to make coffee for your guests. There are multiple ways to do this.</p> <p>The first way is putting a cup under your coffee machine and then bringing it to your guests one by one. It's possible but it will take forever. The second way is putting a new cup under the coffee machine before you bring the first cup to a guest so when you come back for a new one, it will be done and ready to be delivered, allowing you to finish this task much quicker. Your coffee machine will run out of coffee and water at one point and thus slow you down because you have to refill everything. Now let's say you ask one of your guests to refill the machine when it runs empty: This is kind of comparable to triple buffering. In essence, triple buffering just means better cooperation between different parts of your phone.</p> <p>The touch responsiveness part is the easiest to explain but quite possibly the hardest to develop. Google developed a mechanic that predicts where you are most likely to put your finger next on the screen, allowing your phone to get ready for that tap, making the action that is behind it much faster to load. Vsync was also used to improve touch latency by anticipating where your finger will be at the time of the next screen refresh. Last but most certainly not least, your phone runs at lower speeds after a certain period of inactivity in order to save battery life which is a good thing for battery life but it can also cause some unresponsiveness. Jelly Bean uses a feature described as CPU input boost, which makes your phone run faster when you touch the screen, avoiding lag because of your phone running at lower speeds.</p> <p>There are however certain features such as GPU acceleration which need to be implemented in apps too in order to work properly. At the time Honeycomb was released, GPU acceleration was a new thing and very few apps were coded to properly use this new feature. The consequence was that although Honeycomb supported hardware acceleration, it effectively still wasn't being used. When Ice Cream Sandwich came out, more and more apps started getting GPU acceleration support, really showcasing the improvements Google made.</p> <p>The GPU acceleration was also further perfected in newer versions, shapes and text are now being rendered at a higher quality without sacrificing any performance.</p> <h3>Trim that filesystem</h3> <p>Earlier on I spoke about my Galaxy Nexus and what a good phone it was. That's right, I used the past tense. After around six months, my phone started slowing down more and more to the point where it was just plainly unusable at times. Apps would randomly crash, booting took minutes, music would randomly stop playing and selecting a new track would result in waiting 20 seconds for it to actually start playing. I could name all the issues I had but the point was that there clearly was something very wrong with my phone. The first thought that came to mind was my software being outdated, so I updated to a newer version but the issues persisted even after a full data reset. Removing apps one by one to see if it had any effect didn't work, neither did overclocking or changing the CPU governor.</p> <p>After a little bit of research I discovered I wasn't the only one having issues with my Galaxy Nexus. Dozens of forum threads describing the exact same issues I had were floating around the internet. It had to do with the internal memory of my phone. This is again something that requires further explanation, but this time it's not as complicated and no strange comparisons are needed. Phones use flash memory, which is the same type SSDs in computers use. Flash memory is not like a hard drive, the data you store on it is not physically present like on a hard drive where the data is stored on a magnetic disc, basically the same as a CD works. Flash memory uses blocks of memory which can be either filled or empty. When you delete a file from flash memory, it is not immediately deleted. It will show up as empty space on your phone but in reality the data is still there. This means that after a while, you will have used up all the free blocks on your phone so every time there's a change in data, your phone first needs to erase old blocks in order to overwrite them, resulting in a very slow device.</p> <p>PCs with SSDs have a solution for this issue called fstrim. Trim is a command telling your device which blocks are no longer in use and can be erased, avoiding the problems mentioned above. While included in the Linux kernel on which Android is based as well, it hadn't been implemented until Android 4.3 came along. In my opinion, this has been the best improvement Google has made so far because it made my phone perform like it had just come out of the box. It now runs automatically, preferably every night if possible, preventing you from all the issues my phone was suffering from.</p> <p> </p> <p>This has been the first part of ‘The Android Evolution’. New reports out today indicate Facebook was not the only company running a major social media empire that was interested in Snapchat – Google also made a bid for the company. The Google bid apparently came in at $4 billion which would have trumped the $3 billion bid Facebook made for the service.</p> <p>Sources indicate Google was initially approached by Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel about a “strategic investment” in the service. Apparently Google was interested in snapping up Snapchat as a standalone app. The reports also indicate these talks were occurring close to the same time as Facebook entreaties. At this time it appears Spiegel has rejected both offers as Snapchat pursues a new round of funding to raise millions of dollars. Conveniently, those efforts may have been based on a valuation of the company that is somewhere between $3 billion and $4 billion dollars, an amount that Spiegel seems to have verified based on the interest expressed by both Facebook and Google.</p> <p>source: <a href="http://redirectingat.com?id=3031X597718&xs=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.theverge.com%2F2013%2F11%2F15%2F5106950%2Fgoogle-snapchat-4-billion-buyout-rumor&sref=rss">The Verge</a></p> <p><br /> <strong>Come comment on this article: <a href="http://www.talkandroid.com/184361-snapchat-lets-several-billion-dollar-offers-from-facebook-and-google-disappear/">Snapchat lets several billion dollar offers from Facebook and Google disappear</a></strong> <br /> <div><small>Visit <a rel="dofollow" href="http://www.talkandroid.com/">TalkAndroid for Android news</a>, <a rel="dofollow" href="http://www.talkandroid.com/guides/">Android guides</a>, and much more!</small></div></p> <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AndroidNewsGoogleAndroidForums/~4/52JHnbiEwP0" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="https://blogtrottr.com/spot/4Y1F/0/Ptc" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; Almost all of you have, at some time, felt the pain of waiting for an update to your phone or tablet. That’s the unpredictability of updates for Android.</p> <p>You don’t ever know what you’re going to get when it comes to Android updates. Even when you think that you’re making the safe purchase by getting a Nexus device, you still might not be completely satisfied when it comes to OS updates. Of course, the Nexus devices do have a much better track record that other Android devices. Why is this so? It’s simple, really. Google has control over them.</p> <p>Remember the Galaxy Nexus on Verizon? Or even the one on Sprint? If you do, then you’ll remember the public outcry that accompanied them when the time came for Android updates. While consumers bought the Galaxy Nexus for a pure, Android experience and fast updates, they were instead met with snail-slow updates and, shockingly, carrier bloatware.</p> <p>Needless to say, many of those Galaxy Nexus owners left their respective carriers.</p> <p>We can also look to other mainstream phones on the market to see examples of this. For example, the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ELI8V3K/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00ELI8V3K&linkCode=as2&tag=andandme0a-20">HTC One S</a><img style="border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;" alt="" src="http://ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=andandme0a-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B00ELI8V3K" width="1" height="1" border="0" />. HTC sent everyone <a title="HTC kills the One S, leaves Android 4.1, broken promises at the scene" href="http://androidandme.com/2013/07/devices/htc-kills-the-one-s-leaves-android-4-1-broken-promises-at-the-scene/" target="_blank">up in arms</a> about the One S when they made the decision not to issue the One S with an update to Android 4.2. After just one update to Android 4.1, the phone was dead in the water. It was a sad fate for the surprising number of One S owners out there.</p> <p>Fast forward to present day, and we can see that HTC may actually be learning their lesson from it. They’ve now promised that their flagship, the <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CMVLH66/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00CMVLH66&linkCode=as2&tag=andandme0a-20">HTC One</a><img style="border: none !important; margin: 0px !important;" alt="" src="http://ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=andandme0a-20&l=as2&o=1&a=B00CMVLH66" width="1" height="1" border="0" />, will receive an update to Android 4.4 KitKat within 90 days. That’s surprisingly quick for HTC, considering their past record. But we’re not letting them off that easily; we need to see this come into play first.</p> <p>More importantly, we need to see it take place on the carrier models of the One. While several have pledged to get the update rolled out in 90 days, we’ve seen similar situations in the past that have quickly turned into calamities when the updates get delayed.</p> <p>But the solution to these slow updates boils down to one simple fact: Google needs to take control of updates.</p> <p>Look at Motorola. Before their buyout by Google, they didn’t have a great history with timely updates. Since being bought out by Google, and the transformation into a different sort of company, we’re seeing much faster updates as well as nearly stock software with just a few very useful features thrown in.</p> <p>We fully understand that half the beauty of Android is that the software is customizable, that you do have choice. But the complaint of slow updates is constantly regurgitated by consumers, and the best solution is to allow Google to have more control over the updates. Manufacturers can be slow with updates on their own, but they really get slowed down when the update gets to the carriers for testing.</p> <p>It really wouldn’t be too hard and could actually provide a better experience for the consumer. Manufacturers might need to tone down their software a bit to make it slightly closer to stock Android, which in turn would give consumers a more consistent feel across Android devices. This toning down of software would also make it easier for Google and the manufacturer to quickly work together on an update.</p> <p>I could be wrong, though. Maybe I am. Do you think so? Or do you think that this is a viable option that could really help consumers?</p> <div> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?a=7qv6bjyltsM:WNme4JvlkK0:D7DqB2pKExk"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?i=7qv6bjyltsM:WNme4JvlkK0:D7DqB2pKExk" border="0"></img></a> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?a=7qv6bjyltsM:WNme4JvlkK0:yIl2AUoC8zA"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?d=yIl2AUoC8zA" border="0"></img></a> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?a=7qv6bjyltsM:WNme4JvlkK0:V_sGLiPBpWU"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?i=7qv6bjyltsM:WNme4JvlkK0:V_sGLiPBpWU" border="0"></img></a> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?a=7qv6bjyltsM:WNme4JvlkK0:gIN9vFwOqvQ"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?i=7qv6bjyltsM:WNme4JvlkK0:gIN9vFwOqvQ" border="0"></img></a> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?a=7qv6bjyltsM:WNme4JvlkK0:qj6IDK7rITs"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?d=qj6IDK7rITs" border="0"></img></a> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?a=7qv6bjyltsM:WNme4JvlkK0:F7zBnMyn0Lo"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?i=7qv6bjyltsM:WNme4JvlkK0:F7zBnMyn0Lo" border="0"></img></a> </div><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/androidandme/~4/7qv6bjyltsM" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="https://blogtrottr.com/spot/4Y1F/0/St5" alt="" /> <a name="item_1"></a> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="font:13px Helvetica, sans-serif; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; background-color:#fff; padding:8px; margin-bottom:6px; border:1px solid #adadad;"> <tr> <td> <a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; letter-spacing:-1px;margin:0;padding:0 0 2px;font-weight: bold;font-size: 19px;line-height: 20px;color:#222;" href="http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/androidandme/~3/RwXVcrOqv8g/">Building the perfect Nexus: battery</a> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align:left;color:#999;font-size:11px;font-weight:bold;line-height:15px;">Nov 15th 2013, 17:03, by Nick Gray </div> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#494949;text-align:justify;font-size:13px;"> <p><p>As we dive deeper into our <a href="http://androidandme.com/tag/building-the-perfect-nexus-phone/" rel="tag">Building the perfect Nexus phone</a> series today, we’ll be taking a look at batteries. When comparing specs between phones, batteries are typically the last item to make the list, but that’s simply because there’s nothing sexy about electrochemical cells that convert chemical energy into usable electrical energy. But when it comes to order of importance, batteries should be at the top of the list for those who really care about smartphone specs.</p> <p>As smartphone screens increased in size over the past few years, so have batteries. Unfortunately, higher capacity batteries haven’t really extended the life of our smartphone, because those larger displays consumer more power and new processors still have a long way to go to improve efficiency. There are a few handsets like the Droid MAXX, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the LG G2 with massive batteries that can last up to two full days, but these devices are still uncommon.</p> <p>Increased capacity isn’t the only pain point when it comes to batteries. Over the past few years, the industry has started moving toward integrated batteries that can’t be swapped out. Built-in batteries allow manufacturers to rearrange the internal structure of their devices, reducing thickness and weight. While this change may appeal to those who want extremely slim phones, it can reduce the lifespan of a smartphone, because most rechargeable batteries lose a quarter to half of their charge capacity within two years. Consumers who own devices with removable batteries have the option to buy a replacement and make the swap themselves while those who own devices with built-in batteries either have to send the phone into the manufacturer for an expensive battery replacement or live with a phone that charges less and less with each passing month.</p> <p>Swappable batteries also give power users the ability to carry a secondary battery, which can be swapped out on the go. There is certainly a benefit here, but I’m personally a fan of external battery packs that can be used to charge multiple devices on a single charge.</p> <p>As with Wednesday’s post, we have two questions we’d like you to weigh in on today:</p> <a name="pd_a_7564860"></a> <div data-settings="{"url":"http:\/\/static.polldaddy.com\/p\/7564860.js"}"></div> <div></div> <a href="http://polldaddy.com/poll/7564860">Take Our Poll</a> <a name="pd_a_7564872"></a> <div data-settings="{"url":"http:\/\/static.polldaddy.com\/p\/7564872.js"}"></div> <div></div> <a href="http://polldaddy.com/poll/7564872">Take Our Poll</a> <p>What’s your take on the current battery trends being adopted by the different manufacturers?</p> <div> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?a=RwXVcrOqv8g:e7rF7YIff10:D7DqB2pKExk"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?i=RwXVcrOqv8g:e7rF7YIff10:D7DqB2pKExk" border="0"></img></a> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?a=RwXVcrOqv8g:e7rF7YIff10:yIl2AUoC8zA"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?d=yIl2AUoC8zA" border="0"></img></a> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?a=RwXVcrOqv8g:e7rF7YIff10:V_sGLiPBpWU"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?i=RwXVcrOqv8g:e7rF7YIff10:V_sGLiPBpWU" border="0"></img></a> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?a=RwXVcrOqv8g:e7rF7YIff10:gIN9vFwOqvQ"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?i=RwXVcrOqv8g:e7rF7YIff10:gIN9vFwOqvQ" border="0"></img></a> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?a=RwXVcrOqv8g:e7rF7YIff10:qj6IDK7rITs"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?d=qj6IDK7rITs" border="0"></img></a> <a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?a=RwXVcrOqv8g:e7rF7YIff10:F7zBnMyn0Lo"><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/androidandme?i=RwXVcrOqv8g:e7rF7YIff10:F7zBnMyn0Lo" border="0"></img></a> </div><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/androidandme/~4/RwXVcrOqv8g" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="https://blogtrottr.com/spot/4Y1F/0/St5" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; line-height:16px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br><br> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/d2s/GmprM9">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> <div class="blogger-post-footer">Do visit the blog: http://androidworldupdates.blogspot.com</div>Android Worldhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18289603637095931796noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6393185937627846762.post-67237192431444678282013-11-15T23:22:00.000+05:302013-11-15T23:23:06.401+05:30Android World Update # Azkend & Azkend 2 ''match three'' game sale<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; margin-bottom:6px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;line-height:16px;">Android News + App Tests - AndroidPIT</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">This feed includes text previews of the latest news articles and app tests on www.androidpit.com. It seems as though Acer will bring Chromebook fans exactly what they've been wanting: <a href="http://www.amazon.fr/Acer-Chromebook-Ecran-tactile-Chrome/dp/B00GFSGG2W/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1384533283&sr=8-1&keywords=acer+c720" target="_blank">a mid-range, appropriately priced touchscreen Chromebook.</a> According to an Amazon page in France, the newest addition to the Chromebook family is coming soon, and hopefully soon.</p> <p><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-163643" alt="Acer touchscreen Chromebook" src="http://cdn.androidcommunity.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/71h9YRvKFwL._SL1500_-540x319.jpg" width="540" height="319" /></p> <p><span></span><br /> If it looks like the<a href="http://androidcommunity.com/acer-c720-chromebook-lineup-expands-with-lower-price-of-entry-20131115/" target="_blank"> freshly announced $199.99 C720</a> — or even the more robust C720 variant the world is falling for — it just might be the touchscreen clone of the other two. The Amazon page lists it as being the C720P, and having the same specs as the other C720s, save for the screen. We'll get a 1.4GHz dual-core Celeron Processor, 2GB RAM, 32GB memory, and an 11.6-inch touchscreen display.</p> <p>Unlike the other two C720 models, which have a number following them which starts with "28—", this one has the trailing tag of 29552G03aii. The device is also set for pre-order currently, with no mention of when — or where — it will be available. We should also remember that the Pixel was launched in Paris, and made immediately available via the <a href="http://www.androidcommunity.com/tag/play-store/" target="_blank">Play Store.</a></p> <p>Perhaps the best part of this story is the pricing. The <a href="http://www.androidcommunity.com/tag/amazon/" target="_blank">Amazon</a> post lists it at EUR 299.99, which would put it right around $450 for us here in the states. With other Chromebooks (even those from Acer) racing for the lowest price point, this brings back a Chromebook we've not had since the Samsung 550. It also brings touchscreen usability to <a href="http://www.androidcommunity.com/tag/chromebook/" target="_blank">Chromebook</a> fans at a very reasonable cost, which is something that has dogged the Pixel since launch.</p> <p><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-163648" alt="81rrzyLn7wL._SL1500_" src="http://cdn.androidcommunity.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/81rrzyLn7wL._SL1500_-540x410.jpg" width="540" height="410" /></p> <p>With nothing official coming from Acer, or <a href="http://www.androidcommunity.com/tag/google/" target="_blank">Google,</a> we're cautiously optimistic on this one. It falls in line with their naming scheme, as Acer seems keen on their C720 moniker. It also fills a needed void, and brings more touch capability to <a href="http://www.androidcommunity.com/tag/chrome/" target="_blank">Chrome</a>. On the other hand, it’s really the same press image we’ve seen before, with little more than a hand over the screen. Even the user profile picture is the same. The listing also doesn’t note a resolution or pixel density for the screen, which seems odd. We’re hoping it’s the real deal, but we’ll wait for more news before getting too excited.</p> <p>VIA: <a href="http://www.chromestory.com/2013/11/amazon-france-leaks-acers-touchscreen-chromebook-full-specs-price/" target="_blank">Chrome Story</a><br /> <div> <div> <h4>Story Timeline</h4> <ul> <li><a href="http://androidcommunity.com/hp-chromebook-11-now-in-play-store-with-matching-sleeve-cases-20131009/">HP Chromebook 11 now in Play Store with matching sleeve cases</a></li> <li><a href="http://androidcommunity.com/acer-c720-chromebook-bringing-haswell-with-up-to-8-5-hours-of-battery-life-20131010/">Acer C720 Chromebook bringing Haswell with up to 8.5 hours of battery life</a></li> <li><a href="http://androidcommunity.com/hp-chromebook-11-now-unavailable-for-purchase-no-reason-given-20131113/">HP Chromebook 11 now unavailable for purchase, no reason given [Update]</a></li> <li><a href="http://androidcommunity.com/asus-chromebooks-expected-early-next-year-20131113/">ASUS Chromebooks expected early next year</a></li> <li><a href="http://androidcommunity.com/acer-c720-chromebook-lineup-expands-with-lower-price-of-entry-20131115/">Acer C720 Chromebook lineup expands with lower price of entry</a></li> </ul></div> </div></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="https://blogtrottr.com/spot/4Y1F/0/2G79" alt="" /> <a name="item_1"></a> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="font:13px Helvetica, sans-serif; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; background-color:#fff; padding:8px; margin-bottom:6px; border:1px solid #adadad;"> <tr> <td> <a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; letter-spacing:-1px;margin:0;padding:0 0 2px;font-weight: bold;font-size: 19px;line-height: 20px;color:#222;" href="http://androidcommunity.com/htc-m8-spec-leak-tips-5-inch-1080p-display-and-snapdragon-800-processor-20131115/">HTC M8 spec leak tips 5-inch 1080p display and Snapdragon 800 processor</a> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align:left;color:#999;font-size:11px;font-weight:bold;line-height:15px;">Nov 15th 2013, 17:20, by Robert Nelson </div> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#494949;text-align:justify;font-size:13px;"> <p><p>The <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/tag/htc-one/">HTC One</a> was the subject of frequent leaks. That handset was originally known as the HTC M7, and well, it is looking like the next-generation device is going down the same path. The handset has been dubbed the HTC M8 and going all the way back to mid-July we were hearing reports of how this is expected to be an <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/htc-m8-expected-to-arrive-as-2014s-flagship-20130710/">HTC flagship device for 2014</a>. </p> <p><img src="http://cdn.androidcommunity.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/htc-m8-leaked.jpg" alt="htc-m8-leaked" width="400" height="320" class="alignnone size-full wp-image-163634" /></p> <p><span></span></p> <p>More recently some <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/htc-m8-leaked-photo-shows-full-metal-body-with-blueish-tinge-20131107/">images have leaked</a>, sadly though, they didn’t offer all that great of a look at the device. That isn’t totally unexpected in terms of image leaks, however these (as you can see above) were on the rougher side. Needless to say, they did provide an early look at the handset. We are now seeing some specs though, and they have come by way of the Chinese language <em><a href="http://www.ctechcn.com/htc-m8-specs/">CTechCN</a></em>.</p> <p>Only the basics have been mentioned so far and those include details on the display, processor and version of Android. The leak suggests a 5-inch 1080p display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and Android 4.4 Kit Kat. There was also mention of an UltraPixel camera on the back, which put all together, is not a huge bump from the current model HTC One. </p> <p>In comparison, the HTC One sports a 4.7-inch 1080p display along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. The HTC One has yet to get Kit Kat, but that will arrive in time. Otherwise, it appears as if the HTC M8 may have the same UltraPixel camera as the HTC One. The other interesting, and still unknown aspect here, comes with the image above.</p> <p>If you look at the picture on the right side, there appears to be an extra opening. The bigger circle would likely be the camera lens, with the LED flash sitting next to it, but there is something else sitting just above. Time will tell what that ends up being, but for now, we are certain the speculation will begin and that more leaks will follow.</p> <p>VIA: <a href="http://www.slashgear.com/htc-one-m8-specifications-leak-for-2014-release-15305549/">SlashGear</a></p> <div> <div> <h4>Story Timeline</h4> <ul> <li><a href="http://androidcommunity.com/htc-m8-expected-to-arrive-as-2014s-flagship-20130710/">HTC M8 expected to arrive as 2014's flagship</a></li> <li><a href="http://androidcommunity.com/htc-m8-leaked-photo-shows-full-metal-body-with-blueish-tinge-20131107/">HTC M8 leaked photo shows full metal body with blueish tinge</a></li> </ul></div> </div></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="https://blogtrottr.com/spot/4Y1F/0/2G79" alt="" /> <a name="item_2"></a> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="font:13px Helvetica, sans-serif; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; background-color:#fff; padding:8px; margin-bottom:6px; border:1px solid #adadad;"> <tr> <td> <a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; letter-spacing:-1px;margin:0;padding:0 0 2px;font-weight: bold;font-size: 19px;line-height: 20px;color:#222;" href="http://androidcommunity.com/gamelofts-gt-racing-2-arrives-in-the-play-store-20131115/">Gameloft's GT Racing 2 arrives in the Play Store</a> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align:left;color:#999;font-size:11px;font-weight:bold;line-height:15px;">Nov 15th 2013, 16:38, by Robert Nelson </div> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#494949;text-align:justify;font-size:13px;"> <p><p><a href="http://androidcommunity.com/tag/gameloft/">Gameloft</a> revealed GT Racing 2 way <a href="http://androidcommunity.com/gt-racing-2-the-real-car-experience-simulator-revealed-by-gameloft-20130918/">back in September</a>. That initial unveil did include some details on the game, however without anything solid in terms of a release date, it ended up being more of a teaser than anything else. Well, flash forward a few months time and GT Racing 2 has arrived in the Play Store. </p> <p><img src="http://cdn.androidcommunity.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/gameloft-gt-racing-2-540x306.jpg" alt="gameloft-gt-racing-2" width="540" height="306" class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-163630" /></p> <p><span></span></p> <p>GT Racing 2 is a free download and brings with it the ability to play solo or multiplayer. There is a total of 13 tracks and 67 cars from a mix of Mercedes-Benz, Ferrari, Dodge, Nissan, Audi and Ford. In total, GT Racing 2 features cars from more than 30 manufacturers. And along with the real cars, the track list includes the real Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.</p> <p>Otherwise, Gameloft mentioned how the game has more than 1,400 events to test your driving skills. These include classic races as well as duels, knockouts and overtakes. There is also 28 new challenges each week to test and improve your virtual driving skills. Regardless of whether you choose to go solo or multiplayer, Gameloft also went for authenticity with this release. </p> <p><p><center></center></p> </p> <p>Details here point towards a new physics model, which according to Gameloft, means users will have the “most realistic car dynamics ever offered in a handheld game.” Other bits here include tracks that have different weather conditions and can be raced at different times of day as well as the ability to choose between four different camera angles. </p> <p>With that, GT Racing 2 is currently sitting in the <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gameloft.android.ANMP.GloftRAHM">Google Play Store</a>.</p> <div> <div> <h4>Story Timeline</h4> <ul> <li><a href="http://androidcommunity.com/gameloft-teases-asphalt-8-airborne-in-new-gameplay-trailer-20130801/">Gameloft teases Asphalt 8: Airborne in new gameplay trailer </a></li> <li><a href="http://androidcommunity.com/asphalt-8-airborne-delayed-by-gameloft-as-fakes-hit-the-play-store-20130807/">Asphalt 8: Airborne delayed by Gameloft as fakes hit the Play Store</a></li> <li><a href="http://androidcommunity.com/gamelofts-nfl-pro-2014-becomes-an-ios-exclusive-shuns-android-20130808/">Gameloft's NFL Pro 2014 becomes an iOS exclusive, shuns Android </a></li> <li><a href="http://androidcommunity.com/gt-racing-2-the-real-car-experience-simulator-revealed-by-gameloft-20130918/">GT Racing 2: The Real Car Experience simulator revealed by Gameloft</a></li> <li><a href="http://androidcommunity.com/gamelofts-total-conquest-brings-epic-battles-to-the-play-store-20130919/">Gameloft's Total Conquest brings epic battles to the Play Store</a></li> </ul></div> </div></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="https://blogtrottr.com/spot/4Y1F/0/2G79" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; line-height:16px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br><br> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/d2s/cqqQ2X">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> <div class="blogger-post-footer">Do visit the blog: http://androidworldupdates.blogspot.com</div>Android Worldhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18289603637095931796noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6393185937627846762.post-8904167299799516552013-11-15T23:14:00.000+05:302013-11-15T23:15:00.324+05:30Android World Update # The US variant of the Moto G will launch with Android 4.4 KitKat<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; margin-bottom:6px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;line-height:16px;">Android News, Rumours, and Updates</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">The latest in android news, rumours, and updates, including device news and apps! </span></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="border:1px solid #555555; background-color: #555555; color: #ffc40d; padding:8px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; line-height:16px; margin-bottom:6px;"> <tr> <td width="130" valign="top"><a href="http://www.launchbit.com/aa/10742d1909/"><img src="http://www.launchbit.com/taz-i/1453-beauty-text.jpg" /></a></td> <td> <table width="100%"> <tr><td height="100px"><a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:16px; color: #ffc40d;" href="http://www.launchbit.com/aa/10742d1909/">Photoshop - Beauty Retouching</a><br /><br /><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:13px; color: #ffc40d;">Learn how to improve your photoshop retouching skill and knowledge in 21 easy techniques! We had initially heard rumors that the device might launch with 4.4, but when it was announced, Motorola confirmed 4.3 for the device. However, since the update was slated for early 2014 anyway and the US version of the device isn’t being released at the same time as other devices, it’s apparently given Motorola and Google enough time to get the software up to snuff to launch with.</p> <p>This is definitely good news and makes a compelling argument for the sub-$200 smartphone. It’s certainly not going to be able to compete with the Nexus 5 in benchmarks and pure processing power, but it’ll be able to say it’s one of the few devices that saw a KitKat update in a timely manner.</p> <p>Anybody picking one of these up next year?</p> <p>source: <a href="http://redirectingat.com?id=3031X597718&xs=1&url=http%3A%2F%2F9to5google.com%2F2013%2F11%2F15%2Fmoto-g-will-arrive-in-the-us-with-android-4-4-kitkat-already-on-board%2F&sref=rss">9to5 Google</a></p> <p><br /> <strong>Come comment on this article: <a href="http://www.talkandroid.com/184364-the-us-variant-of-the-moto-g-will-launch-with-android-4-4-kitkat/">The US variant of the Moto G will launch with Android 4.4 KitKat</a></strong> <br /> <div><small>Visit <a rel="dofollow" href="http://www.talkandroid.com/">TalkAndroid for Android news</a>, <a rel="dofollow" href="http://www.talkandroid.com/guides/">Android guides</a>, and much more!</small></div></p> <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AndroidNewsGoogleAndroidForums/~4/pWe9ya0nwr0" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="https://blogtrottr.com/spot/4Y1F/0/Ptc" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; line-height:16px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br><br> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/d2s/Kphq1">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> <div class="blogger-post-footer">Do visit the blog: http://androidworldupdates.blogspot.com</div>Android Worldhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18289603637095931796noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6393185937627846762.post-49006031529277826022013-11-15T23:06:00.001+05:302013-11-15T23:06:20.359+05:30Android World Update # Asus developing Google Glass competitor, still in talks with Google about 2014 Nexus 7 tablet<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; margin-bottom:6px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;line-height:16px;">Android News, Rumours, and Updates</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">The latest in android news, rumours, and updates, including device news and apps! </span></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="border:1px solid #555555; background-color: #555555; color: #ffc40d; padding:8px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; line-height:16px; margin-bottom:6px;"> <tr> <td width="130" valign="top"><a href="http://www.launchbit.com/aa/10742cd8b6/"><img src="http://www.launchbit.com/taz-i/4253-bwsq.jpg" /></a></td> <td> <table width="100%"> <tr><td height="100px"><a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:16px; color: #ffc40d;" href="http://www.launchbit.com/aa/10742cd8b6/">Many wonderful memories are captured in black and white.</a><br /><br /><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:13px; color: #ffc40d;">With digital photographs, the art is now in creating black and white images. The first big new from the tech manufacturer is that they’re readying a wearable device similar to Google Glass and it will be announced at Computex next year, which takes place in Taipei from June 3rd to June 7th in 2014. Unfortunately because of how early this news comes, it means there’s no solid information about the device itself. It seems like everyone else is pursuing glasses and watches, though, so don’t be surprised if we start to hear about either of those from Asus soon.</p> <p>The second bit of news relates to next year’s inevitable refresh of Google’s flagship 7 inch tablet, the Asus-made Nexus 7. Originally, there was some speculation that Google would pick a different manufacturer for the tablet because Asus was focusing more on their own line of tablets, but according to CEO Jerry Shen, that’s not necessarily the case. The company is still in talks with Google to make that manufacturing partnership happen. It doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll see Asus make the next Nexus 7, but it’s clearly a valuable chunk of their business, and I’m sure they’d hate to see it picked up by another manufacturer (although I wouldn’t complain if Google got Sony on board with some of their Nexus devices)</p> <p>With Google considering moving production to a company besides Asus because they want to focus on their own line of tablets, it really makes you wonder if we’ll ever see another Samsung Nexus tablet with the rumors about the <a href="http://www.talkandroid.com/182327-samsung-might-shift-focus-to-the-tablet-market-in-2014/">direction they’ll be going in next year.</a></p> <p>source: <a href="http://redirectingat.com?id=3031X597718&xs=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.phonearena.com%2Fnews%2FAsus-prepping-wearables-and-talking-to-Google-about-the-2014-Nexus-7_id49385&sref=rss">Phone Arena</a></p> <p><br /> <strong>Come comment on this article: <a href="http://www.talkandroid.com/184358-asus-developing-google-glass-competitor-still-in-talks-with-google-about-2014-nexus-7-tablet/">Asus developing Google Glass competitor, still in talks with Google about 2014 Nexus 7 tablet</a></strong> <br /> <div><small>Visit <a rel="dofollow" href="http://www.talkandroid.com/">TalkAndroid for Android news</a>, <a rel="dofollow" href="http://www.talkandroid.com/guides/">Android guides</a>, and much more!</small></div></p> <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AndroidNewsGoogleAndroidForums/~4/0xKLCWP0H_g" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="https://blogtrottr.com/spot/4Y1F/0/Ptc" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; line-height:16px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br><br> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/d2s/Kphq1">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> <div class="blogger-post-footer">Do visit the blog: http://androidworldupdates.blogspot.com</div>Android Worldhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18289603637095931796noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6393185937627846762.post-14337832454515743642013-11-15T22:59:00.001+05:302013-11-15T22:59:26.031+05:30Android World Update # Acer slims down latest Chromebook, trims the price in the process<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; margin-bottom:6px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;line-height:16px;">Android News, Rumours, and Updates</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">The latest in android news, rumours, and updates, including device news and apps! </span></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="border:1px solid #555555; background-color: #555555; color: #ffc40d; padding:8px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; line-height:16px; margin-bottom:6px;"> <tr> <td width="130" valign="top"><a href="http://www.launchbit.com/aa/10742cc80f/"><img src="http://www.launchbit.com/taz-i/1453-beauty-text.jpg" /></a></td> <td> <table width="100%"> <tr><td height="100px"><a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:16px; color: #ffc40d;" href="http://www.launchbit.com/aa/10742cc80f/">Photoshop - Beauty Retouching</a><br /><br /><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:13px; color: #ffc40d;">Learn how to improve your photoshop retouching skill and knowledge in 21 easy techniques! Even at that low price point, Acer has decided to try to reach an audience with even tighter wallets by releasing the C720-2848 version. The only difference Acer has implemented is a reduction in the amount of RAM, dropping it from 4GB down to only 2GB. In conjunction with that, the new device only costs $199.</p> <p>The Acer C720-2848 features an 11.6-inch screen running at 1366×768 resolution, an Intel Haswell Celeron processor, 16GB of flash storage, and the aforementioned 2GB of RAM. Performance-wise, this means users may not want to keep quite so many tabs or apps running at any given time. According to Acer, the new Chromebook is available from Amazon and Best Buy starting today.</p> <p>source: <a href="http://redirectingat.com?id=3031X597718&xs=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.theverge.com%2F2013%2F11%2F15%2F5106984%2Facer-takes-another-stab-at-building-a-199-chromebook&sref=rss">The Verge</a></p> <p><br /> <strong>Come comment on this article: <a href="http://www.talkandroid.com/184355-acer-slims-down-latest-chromebook-trims-the-price-in-the-process/">Acer slims down latest Chromebook, trims the price in the process</a></strong> <br /> <div><small>Visit <a rel="dofollow" href="http://www.talkandroid.com/">TalkAndroid for Android news</a>, <a rel="dofollow" href="http://www.talkandroid.com/guides/">Android guides</a>, and much more!</small></div></p> <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AndroidNewsGoogleAndroidForums/~4/H57g1U4JEKI" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="https://blogtrottr.com/spot/4Y1F/0/Ptc" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; line-height:16px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br><br> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/d2s/Kphq1">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> <div class="blogger-post-footer">Do visit the blog: http://androidworldupdates.blogspot.com</div>Android Worldhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18289603637095931796noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6393185937627846762.post-16186751451458566422013-11-15T22:47:00.001+05:302013-11-15T22:47:41.314+05:30Android World Update # RadioShack offering Galaxy S4 for $49.99 with contract<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; margin-bottom:6px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;line-height:16px;">AndroidGuys</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">Android news and opinion </span></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="border:1px solid #555555; background-color: #555555; color: #ffc40d; padding:8px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; line-height:16px; margin-bottom:6px;"> <tr> <td width="130" valign="top"><a href="http://www.launchbit.com/aa/10742c993e/"><img src="http://www.launchbit.com/taz-i/1155-illustrator.jpg" /></a></td> <td> <table width="100%"> <tr><td height="100px"><a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:16px; color: #ffc40d;" href="http://www.launchbit.com/aa/10742c993e/">Learn Adobe Illustrator CS6 Master Techniques from an Adobe Guru!</a><br /><br /><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:13px; color: #ffc40d;">With over 25 years of experience teaching, Robert Farrell has been a trusted instructor for individuals and companies who want to improve their Adobe skills. </span><img src="http://www.launchbit.com/ap/10742c993e/" /></td></tr> <tr><td align="right" valign="bottom" style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color: #c7a745;" align="right">From our sponsors</td></tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <a name="item_0"></a> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="font:13px Helvetica, sans-serif; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; background-color:#fff; padding:8px; margin-bottom:6px; border:1px solid #adadad;"> <tr> <td> <a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; letter-spacing:-1px;margin:0;padding:0 0 2px;font-weight: bold;font-size: 19px;line-height: 20px;color:#222;" href="http://www.androidguys.com/2013/11/15/radioshack-offering-galaxy-s4-49-99-contract/">RadioShack offering Galaxy S4 for $49.99 with contract</a> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align:left;color:#999;font-size:11px;font-weight:bold;line-height:15px;">Nov 15th 2013, 16:38, by Scott Webster </div> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#494949;text-align:justify;font-size:13px;"> <p><p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-53987" alt="Samsung_Galaxy_S4_white_MF_LockScreen" src="http://www.androidguys.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/Samsung_Galaxy_S4_white_MF_LockScreen.jpg" width="399" height="600" />RadioShack is offering the Samsung Galaxy S4 for a mere $49.99 with a two-year service agreement. We did see some <a title="These may be the first images of the M8, the successor to the HTC One" href="http://www.androidauthority.com/htc-m8-images-314926/">alleged HTC M8 images a few days ago</a>, and also heard that <a title="Rumor: HTC M8 (One 2014) to be available at US Big Four by the end of Q1" href="http://www.androidauthority.com/htc-m8-release-verizon-315928/">the phone will be available from all major U.S. carriers in the first quarter of 2014</a>.</p> <p>Anyone excited for a new HTC One?</p></p> </div> <div style="text-align: left; The Now Network is pricing the handset at $249.99 with a two-year contract, though new Sprint customers can get $100 off the contract price by porting over their existing number.</p> <p>If you don't want to go the contract route, you can also pick up the handset for $599.99, or you can sign up for a payment plan through Sprint's <a title="Android Authority" href="http://www.androidauthority.com/sprint-one-up-270344/">One Up</a> program for $0 down and $25 a month for 24 months.</p> <p>Aesthetically, the <a title="Android Authority" href="http://www.androidauthority.com/htc-one-max-specs-availability-283202/">HTC One Max</a> is actually pretty similar to its smaller brother, the HTC One. There are a few obvious differences however, including a much larger footprint, a removable back and the button placement has also been switched up a bit.</p> <p>Hardware wise, the Max has a 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 CPU, 2GB of RAM, dual stereo speakers, and a 4 UltraPixel camera. There’s also a 5.9-inch fulL HD LCD 3 display, a fingerprint reader and even a microSD slot.</p> <p>Is the HTC One Max worth picking up? Although the HTC One Max isn’t nearly as powerful as the <a title="Android Authority" href="http://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-galaxy-note-3-review-278582/">Samsung Galaxy Note 3</a>, it could still be the perfect device for someone looking for HTC One's premium design in a large "phablet-sized" package.</p> <p></p> <p>If you're interested in the HTC One Max but not so keen on Sprint, the device is also said to be on its way to AT&T and Verizon sometime in the not-too-distant future.</p> <p>What do you think, is the HTC One Max a worthy competitor to the Note 3, or will the lack of a Snapdragon 800 CPU and a stylus turn out to be a deal-breaker for most consumers?</p></p> </div> <div style="text-align: left; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F6F6F6; color: #666666; padding:8px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; line-height:16px; margin-bottom:6px;"> Media files:<br> <a href="http://cdn01.androidauthority.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/htc-one-max-sprint.jpg"> htc-one-max-sprint</a> <br> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="https://blogtrottr.com/spot/4Y1F/0/2r75" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; line-height:16px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br><br> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/d2s/Lcn0sn">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> <div class="blogger-post-footer">Do visit the blog: http://androidworldupdates.blogspot.com</div>Android Worldhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18289603637095931796noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6393185937627846762.post-201585705267764632013-11-15T22:18:00.000+05:302013-11-15T22:19:26.548+05:30Android World Update # Get any tablet from Staples $50 off, including Nexus 7<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; margin-bottom:6px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;line-height:16px;">Android News, Rumours, and Updates</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">The latest in android news, rumours, and updates, including device news and apps! </span></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="border:1px solid #555555; background-color: #555555; color: #ffc40d; padding:8px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; line-height:16px; margin-bottom:6px;"> <tr> <td width="130" valign="top"><a href="http://www.launchbit.com/aa/10742bfbda/"><img src="http://www.launchbit.com/taz-i/4253-bwsq.jpg" /></a></td> <td> <table width="100%"> <tr><td height="100px"><a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:16px; color: #ffc40d;" href="http://www.launchbit.com/aa/10742bfbda/">Many wonderful memories are captured in black and white.</a><br /><br /><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:13px; color: #ffc40d;">With digital photographs, the art is now in creating black and white images. With their N1 that features a rotating camera, and their eagerness to use 3rd party ROMs, they are definitely a company to keep an eye on. We already know that Oppo will launch a version of the N1 that runs CyanogenMod in December, but Sohu IT reports that that won’t be all for Oppo and CyanogenMod.</p> <p>Oppo plans on creating an entirely separate brand for CyanogenMod phones that feature the highest product specs, and use their own marketing, sales channels and development processes. Definitely something to keep an eye on.</p> <p>Source: <a href="http://redirectingat.com?id=3031X597718&xs=1&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.unwiredview.com%2F2013%2F11%2F15%2Foppo-will-create-a-separate-brand-for-cyanogenmod-phones-expands-ambassador-program-to-eastern-europe%2F&sref=rss">Unwired Review</a></p> <p> </p> <p><br /> <strong>Come comment on this article: <a href="http://www.talkandroid.com/184345-oppo-will-create-separate-brand-for-cyanogenmod-phones/">Oppo will create separate brand for CyanogenMod phones</a></strong> <br /> <div><small>Visit <a rel="dofollow" href="http://www.talkandroid.com/">TalkAndroid for Android news</a>, <a rel="dofollow" href="http://www.talkandroid.com/guides/">Android guides</a>, and much more!</small></div></p> <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/AndroidNewsGoogleAndroidForums/~4/Hof_iqhBCU0" height="1" width="1" /></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="https://blogtrottr.com/spot/4Y1F/0/Ptc" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; line-height:16px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br><br> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/d2s/Kphq1">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> <div class="blogger-post-footer">Do visit the blog: http://androidworldupdates.blogspot.com</div>Android Worldhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18289603637095931796noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6393185937627846762.post-38871977773259611032013-11-15T22:06:00.001+05:302013-11-15T22:06:10.790+05:30Android World Update # New leak says HTC M8 will launch with KitKat, again points to 5-inch display and Snapdragon 800<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; margin-bottom:6px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;line-height:16px;">Phandroid</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">Android Phone News, Rumors, Reviews, Apps, Forums & More! </span></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="border:1px solid #555555; background-color: #555555; color: #ffc40d; padding:8px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; line-height:16px; margin-bottom:6px;"> <tr> <td width="130" valign="top"><a href="http://www.launchbit.com/aa/10742a71d9/"><img src="http://www.launchbit.com/taz-i/2443-resume-text.gif" /></a></td> <td> <table width="100%"> <tr><td height="100px"><a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:16px; color: #ffc40d;" href="http://www.launchbit.com/aa/10742a71d9/">Let the jobs find you</a><br /><br /><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:13px; color: #ffc40d;">Instantly post your resume to 75+ job sites. Initial leaks have said <a href="http://phandroid.com/2013/11/07/htc-m8-rumor/">the phone will feature a Snapdragon 800 CPU and a display measuring between 5 and 5.2 inches</a>. The latter spec has been narrowed slightly thanks to @evleaks, who today tipped that the handset, known for now as the <!--SHR --><a href="http://phandroid.com/htc-m8/" target="_blank">HTC M8</a><!-- EHR -->, will feature a 5-inch, 1080p display.</p> <p>The presence of a Snapdragon 800 was again mentioned, and it is said the device will ship with Android 4.4 KitKat. The presence of Google's latest version of Android doesn't come as much of a surprise. The M8 has been<a href="http://phandroid.com/2013/11/11/htc-m8-carriers-release-date/"> rumored to launch with major carriers like Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, and T-Mobile by the end of Q1 2014</a>. The date sets us up for a potential unveiling at CES or Mobile World Congress, though HTC may opt to go with a standalone event.</p> <p>Despite<a href="http://phandroid.com/2012/10/08/htc-continues-trend-net-income-down-137-million-in-q3/"> HTC's money woes</a>, the One is one of the more favorably reviewed handsets of 2013. An upgrade will be gladly welcomed, even if the initially rumored specs look to only marginally improve over the current model. In the meantime, HTC is <a href="http://phandroid.com/2013/11/15/htc-one-max-sprint/">rolling out their One Max to more carriers</a> and hoping they can catch lightning on a bottle to turn around their fortunes.</p> <p>[via <a href="https://twitter.com/evleaks/status/401258340337995776">@evleaks</a>]</p></p> </div> </td></tr> </table> <img src="https://blogtrottr.com/spot/4Y1F/0/R9f" alt="" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; line-height:16px; font-size: 11px; color:#666;"> <tr> <td>You are receiving this email because you subscribed to this feed at <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/">blogtrottr.com</a>.<br><br> If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you can <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/unsubscribe/d2s/wSrWFH">unsubscribe from this feed</a>, or <a href="https://blogtrottr.com/subscriptions/">manage all your subscriptions</a> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> <div class="blogger-post-footer">Do visit the blog: http://androidworldupdates.blogspot.com</div>Android Worldhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18289603637095931796noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6393185937627846762.post-67165541878954429392013-11-15T21:47:00.001+05:302013-11-15T21:47:21.835+05:30Android World Update # HTC ‘M8′ will reportedly run KitKat and feature 5-inch 1080 display, Snapdragon 800 CPU<table width="100%"> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="border:1px solid #adadad; background-color: #F3F1EC; color: #666666; padding:8px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; margin-bottom:6px;"> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:20px;font-weight:bold;line-height:16px;">AndroidGuys</span></td> </tr> <tr> <td><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px;">Android news and opinion </span></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="border:1px solid #555555; background-color: #555555; color: #ffc40d; padding:8px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; line-height:16px; margin-bottom:6px;"> <tr> <td width="130" valign="top"><a href="http://www.launchbit.com/aa/1074257f7e/"><img src="http://www.launchbit.com/taz-i/4412-pubspeak-sq.jpg" /></a></td> <td> <table width="100%"> <tr><td height="100px"><a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:16px; color: #ffc40d;" href="http://www.launchbit.com/aa/1074257f7e/">Want to speak effortlessly in any situation?</a><br /><br /><span style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:13px; color: #ffc40d;">Actress Alexa Fisher will teach you tips that will set you on the road to success. </span><img src="http://www.launchbit.com/ap/1074257f7e/" /></td></tr> <tr><td align="right" valign="bottom" style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size:11px; color: #c7a745;" align="right">From our sponsors</td></tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <a name="item_0"></a> <table cellpadding="3" width="100%" style="font:13px Helvetica, sans-serif; border-radius:4px; -moz-border-radius:4px; -webkit-border-radius:4px; background-color:#fff; padding:8px; margin-bottom:6px; border:1px solid #adadad;"> <tr> <td> <a style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; letter-spacing:-1px;margin:0;padding:0 0 2px;font-weight: bold;font-size: 19px;line-height: 20px;color:#222;" href="http://www.androidguys.com/2013/11/15/htc-m8-will-reportedly-run-kitkat-feature-5-inch-1080-display-snapdragon-800-cpu/">HTC 'M8′ will reportedly run KitKat and feature 5-inch 1080 display, Snapdragon 800 CPU</a> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align:left;color:#999;font-size:11px;font-weight:bold;line-height:15px;">Nov 15th 2013, 15:27, by Scott Webster </div> <div style="font-family:Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#494949;text-align:justify;font-size:13px;"> <p><p>Not that we would expect anything less, but the next-gen HTC flagship smartphone (code name <a title="HTC M8 to be 2014′s flagship device, HTC One upgraded version coming as well?" href="http://www.androidguys.com/2013/07/10/htc-m8-to-be-2014s-flagship-device-htc-one-upgraded-version-coming-as-well/">M8</a>) will reportedly feature a 5-inch 1080p HD display.
