Available for free on both smartphone and tablet, TED provides both audio and video formats of more than 1,100 of the most inspiring talks you'll find. The app lets users search and discover talks based on speakers, topics, ratings, popularity, and more. Find one that you feel like sharing? TED allows for one tap share across your favorite Android apps and services, including Facebook, email, and Twitter. Perhaps one of our favorite features is the ability to download videos or audio for offline viewing and listening. Starting today and running for a week, Amazon will be offering up some pretty terrific deals on apps and games for Android. For instance, today sees Plants vs. Zombies going for 99¢, a savings of 67% off the normal cost. Day two will see a pair of new promotions and day three will be a trio of apps, and so on and so on. In addition to a bunch of discounted applications and games, Amazon is also giving away eight Kindle Fire tablets. Although the hard details have yet to surface, we're hearing that these will be ultra-thin designs at 7.6mm thin, offer a keyboard dock, and could feature the new 1.8GHz TI OMAP processors. Expected to launch later in 2012 the G10 xs line will be available in three display sizes and come with the low pricing we've become accustomed to seeing from Archos. And as if all of this doesn't sound good enough on its own, consider the teaser video that Archos has released. It's not long and it's obscured in shadows but we definitely see the hints of the keyboard dock. Is the G10 xs going to be a low-cost alternative to the Transformer Prime? If you have not tried out Google Earth on your Android yet be sure to start with this 6.2 version. Not only do you get all the great stuff that you've come to expect to out of the desktop client but now there are nifty little layers.
