For those of you who were unimpressed with the display on the Sony Xperia Z, this may come as good news.
Some felt the colors on the Xperia Z were a bit washed out, and many complained that viewing angles were compromised. It's still a great device, but Sony can absolutely do better when it comes to display clarity, and they have.
The Xperia Z Ultra, the Sony device that blurs the lines between phone and tablet, has improved on its predecessor's display shortcomings. As you can see in the pictures below, the display has improved in just about every way. It's crisp, clean, and some obtuse viewing angles won't compromise clarity.
The trade-off, of course, is the size. At 6.44", the Sony Xperia Z Ultra is polarizing. Sony's new "truliminous" display on the Xperia Z Ultra is clearly an improvement, and we'll hope the technology finds its way to the Honami we expect to see at IFA in September.
