While still not official, the Verizon HTC One Max has apparently been photographed in the wild, next to an iPhone 5 in what seem to be the clearest images showing the rumored handset (see gallery below).
According to an Android Central forum user, the images come from a Verizon retail store employee in New Jersey, who had access to the device.
As you can see, the HTC One Max is gigantic, especially when compared to a 4-inch device. Furthermore, these are high-quality images which clearly show the Verizon logo on the device "where HTC's [logo] is supposed to go."
Not many details about the HTC One Max have been shared with these images, although the same Verizon rep apparently said that there's a fingerprint scanner on the back of the handset, and that the back cover is removable.
The HTC One Max is expected to be officially announced and launched at some point in the following weeks. The device will be a direct competitor to the Sony Xperia Ultra Z and the recently launched Galaxy Note 3.
Are you looking forward to the HTC One Max, or are you going to purchase a different extra-large handset this year?
