Rhapsody recently announced an update to its Android app that brings users more customization and personalization to their listening experience. Partnering with The Echo Nest, a music intelligence platform company that provides music services to developers and media companies, Rhapsody users can now enjoy curated artist and song-based stations by the Rhapsody team or create their own personalized stations. This works whether you're a Rhapsody subscriber in the U.S. or a Napster subscriber in Europe or Latin America.
Some of the other new features mentioned are an ad-free experience, unlimited skipping, the ability to see upcoming tracks, a rewind feature to listen to tracks again, a “Variety Tuner bar” to control how diverse the station is, and the ability to favorite tracks to listen to them again and again.
In addition to the Android app, these features are also available in the latest iOS app and on the web. Looks like Android users have one up on iOS users for now though, since the rewind feature is not available on iOS at this time.
