One more render of Droid DNA emerges Posted: 06 Nov 2012 01:39 PM PST Look! Yet another photo of the Droid DNA is online, thanks, of course, to @evleaks. We’re hesitant to call this the “final” render of the Droid DNA because there’s still a week before it is officially unveiled, so we’ll stick with “one more“. Whatever the case, it’s a new look at the phone and our first glimpse of a stock wallpaper. Huzzah.

Kmart Black Friday ad a smattering of dirt-cheap, no-name Androids Posted: 06 Nov 2012 11:45 AM PST The Kmart Black Friday ad is online today and it certainly has its fair share of Android products. Well, fair share of stuff you’ve never heard of. Don’t look for top-shelf stuff from the likes of Samsung or HTC, all there is here is plenty in the way of X-treme and 4Sight. Yeah, that’s what we said, too. Nevertheless, you can bet your leftover Halloween candy that people will still be chatting about that “$40 Android 4.0 tablet at Kmart.” Here’s the Android-based deals from Kmart on Black Friday Continue reading: Kmart Black Friday ad a smattering of dirt-cheap, no-name Androids Be sure to follow AndroidGuys on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube! |
Staples Black Friday ad light on Android savings Posted: 06 Nov 2012 11:00 AM PST The Staples Black Friday ad is online and, if you’re expecting to save bundles on Android, you’ll be disappointed. There’s very little in the way of Android, some of which are not actual savings at all. A 16GB Nexus 7 for $199.99? Don’t do it, get it through Google Play and grab an extra 16GB of storage for the same price. Here’s the Android-based deals from Staples on Black Friday:

Google bringing Wallet support to all 2.3+ devices, physical card in the works? Posted: 06 Nov 2012 09:02 AM PST Google has been working to update their Wallet services, and more evidence has surfaced that caught our attention. Word on the street is that Google is working on a physical Wallet card, and of course there’s that rumored major update we heard about. The latest rumors come from the Google Wallet support page, which suggests that Google is working to bring a non-NFC version of the app to every device running Gingerbread or higher. The idea behind the physical Wallet card is essentially that all of a user’s cards could be channeled into a single card, which could be used instead of a handful of other payment methods. The cards linked to the single Wallet card will be manageable through the updated app, all without going through the carriers. Google is taking a drastic new direction with this update, and will most likely reach a lot more users in the process. No word on when Google will be rolling out this update, but we’re hoping it’ll come in time for the holiday season. So, who else is excited to see what they do with Wallet? Do you think it’s a good idea for them to go around the carriers like this? Drop a comment below! Source AndroidPolice Be sure to follow AndroidGuys on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube! |
