Verizon CFO Fran Shammo has confirmed that the carrier plans to get in on the early upgrade game, following moves by AT&T and T-Mobile. Remaining understandably tight-lipped on the details, Shammo only says that more information will be provided at a later time.
If recent rumors and leaks prove accurate, the VZ Edge program will let users upgrade their phones once they have paid at least 50% of the device cost. As of now, the new deal will kick off on August 25.
