Google introduces Android Device Manager Aug 5th 2013, 13:20, by Scott Webster Google announced late last week that a new Android Device Manager service will make it possible to locate missing or stolen devices. Slated to roll officially out later this month, we’ve already noticed a handful of readers that are seeing the update on their handset. Details include the ability to ring a phone at full volume, even if it’s on silent mode, locate it on a map in real time, and remotely wipe the data.
