Pantech finally took the wraps off the Vega LTE-A. It’s quite a beast with it’s 5.5-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS display and Snapdragon 800 SoC. It also has a fingerprint sensor, which isn’t something we have seen on a smartphone for sometime. It was rumored that LG was going to implement one on the G2, but it appears they won’t. If done right, I think a fingerprint scanner would be great, but again, if done right. Pantech has incorporated a small touch panel on the back side. Just slide your finger along it to unlock your phone. If it works 99% of the time, I will take it.
The other interesting feature is that the whopping 3,100mAh battery can be fully charged from 0 to 100% in 94 minutes.
The Pantech Vega LTE-A will be available in South Korea on SKTelecom by the middle of this month. Unfortunately no pricing was specified. Hit the break for the full list of specs.
