A leaked Best Buy inventory screen suggests that the Verizon Moto X may launch on August 29, although the date is yet to be confirmed by either the carrier or the retailer.
The leaked screenshot, obtained by Android Central, says that the Verizon Moto X will arrive in stock on August 15, and that it has a "street date" of August 29. The publication also says that its tipster revealed that the launch of the handset was "pushed forward three days" from its initial August 23 release date.
Since before its official announcement, reports have claimed that Verizon will launch the device on August 23, or almost simultaneously with the other new Motorola handsets. The Droid Maxx, Ultra and Mini are supposed to arrive between August 20 (the first two) and August 29 (the Mini).
After the Moto X was launched, we heard that all carriers may launch the handset on August 23, with AT&T enjoying a MotoMaker exclusivity until November.
The Moto X will also be available from AT&T, Sprint and U.S. Cellular in the coming weeks, with a T-Mobile-compatible version to be sold directly by Motorola. However, these carriers have not revealed launch dates for the handset either.
