Samsung’s new concept device, the Galaxy Gear smartwatch, is set for a refresh in early 2014, or so says the Korean Digital Times. Slated for either a CES (January) or MWC (February) reveal, the next-gen wearable tech is reported to be a more fleshed out device, possibly with integrated GPS. It’s also expected that the so-called Galaxy Gear 2 will be compatible with more than just a few Samsung smartphones.
It’s hard to imagine Samsung only giving the first-gen Galaxy Gear a few months run before introducing a second model. Then again, this is the same Samsung that completely revamped the Galaxy Tab in the span of weeks.
