While Google's event went by without any official announcement, the rumors around the Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat launch have started to swirl again, with an app developer now claiming that the new operating system is coming in the following hours / days.
Go Launcher posted on Facebook and Twitter a short message saying that the Android 4.4 launch will take place "tomorrow." It's not clear what "tomorrow" actually means, as the status updates went live a few hours ago (evening of October 24 U.S. time), but Go Launcher is based in China, where it already was October 25 at the time – therefore "tomorrow" could mean either October 25 or October 26.
Get ready for tomorrow Android 4.4 launch.

On Facebook, the Go Launcher team further said that it received a Google invitation, although it hasn't actually provided any proof, despite fans asking for visual confirmation.
In other words, the whole thing seems rather shady, but why would Go Launcher go through all that trouble to troll fans that are anxiously waiting for Google's new products? Those fans will surely remember this particular incident, especially in case it's a hoax.
Not to mention that the GO Launcher EX is already a rather popular Android app, with plenty of users, which means the developer doesn't necessarily need extra attention from such rumors. Or does it?
Then again, if everything is legit, why would Google go quietly about a KitKat launch, after announcing the new OS's name more than a month ago? Where are the invites for the press?
Needless to say, we're taking this one with a very huge cup of salt, and we advise you to exercise excitement restraint, while we wait to see what happens.
