Google Ranked 5th Most Valuable Brand According to Forbes Nov 8th 2013, 13:05, by Christian de Looper We all knew Google was an extremely valuable company, but many will be surprised to learn that Google is ranked the worlds 5th most valuable brand according to Forbes. The company, which started out as a simple search engine, was beaten to number 1 by companies Apple, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, and IBM. Google currently is worth a whopping $47.3 billion, and it generated a very large sum of $13 billion before interest and taxes in 2012. Google only continues to grow in value as well and they continue to branch out into other areas of research and technology. Google has a lot of competition with companies like Apple and Microsoft, both companies who will be hard to beat in overall wealth. Apple itself is ranked the most valuable brand, with a brand value of $104.3 billion. Last month Interbrand released their most valuable brands report and Google fared better, coming in 2nd just under Apple.
