After saying they would release their app on the Play Store if they get 1 million requests for it, the developers of Tinder have finally let loose their social network/dating hybrid app to Android users. Unfortunately, the app has been met with some pretty lukewarm reviews, sitting at an average rating of just 2.4 stars. Apparently, there’s still a few features missing from its iOS counterpart that were cut to put the app on the Play Store on time. The developers had previously said they already had an application developed and were just waiting for demand for the app to show up, so those cut features are pretty contradictory.
Regardless, the core functionality is the same as its cross-platform counterpart; you anonymously like or pass on strangers in your area, and if both of you like each other, Tinder will connect both of you in a chat room. If you pass on someone, they’ll never know. It’s a fun time waster, and if you want to be an early adopter, the bug fixes and features are bound to come in the next few weeks.
