A handful of accessories for the yet-announced Samsung Galaxy Note 3 can be purchased online today, ahead of the actual device announcement. While this is only moderately interesting stuff, the bigger story here is that T-Mobile doesn’t look to be ready to support the device.
The accessories show compatibility with Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy Note 3 but not T-Mobile (or U.S. Cellular). As to why there’s no love for Big Magenta, a couple of scenarios spring to mind. One, the accessory maker (Hyperion) doesn’t list all of the carriers. Another, T-Mobile might offer a different form factor in the Galaxy Note 3. Also, it’s possible that they just won’t carry the device at launch.
Given Samsung’s history in the Galaxy Note line, that last possibility seems the most plausible. We cannot imagine Samsung opting to employ different designs for U.S. carriers. We’ll find out what’ up before too long as the Unpacked event is scheduled for September 4.
