We still can't say with 100% certainty that the long-rumored 'cheap' iPhone really exists, but that's not stopping GooPhone from making a clone of it!
GooPhone is known for pretty much one thing, making cheap knock-off devices. With that in mind, we can't say we are surprised to hear about about the GooPhone i5c. Heck, back in March GooPhone even jumped the gun and released the GooPhone i5S, a clone of the still unreleased iPhone 5S.
You might be wondering who would actually buy one of these things. The answer is probably either folks that really don't know the difference between a knock-off and the real thing or casual Android users.
So what kind of specs will the GooPhone i5C have to offer? Reportedly, the handset will feature a 4-inch display with a 960 x 540 resolution and will be powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core MTK6572 processor.
Other specs include 1GB RAM, an 8MP rear cam, 2MP front cam, a 2,000 mAh battery, 4GB storage, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, quad-band GSM, 3G connectivity and Android 4.2.
The GooPhone is expected to arrive for just $99, shortly after the iPhone 5C is made official.
You might be wondering who would actually buy one of these things. The answer is probably either folks that really don't know the difference between a knock-off and the real thing or casual Android users. In other words, most Android fans will probably want to avoid this one like the plague.
Still, if you have $99 to blow, we suppose it could be a fun way to troll your iPhone-packing friends.
