While the Sony Honami's camera is looking to be quite brilliant on its own, Sony has a few accessories up its sleeves which could improve that camera. We've already seen Sony's clip on lens accessories — the less advanced DSC-QX10, and the high-end DSC-QX100 — and now we have some pricing information regarding the two accessories.
A known source told SonyAlphaRumors that the QX100 will be priced at around $450, which is almost $300 cheaper than the Sony DSC-RX100M II, which features the same sensor and lens package, for $748. Taiwan site ePrice also has the QX100 and QX10 listed for about $493 and $226 U.S. respectively.
It seems like the QX100 might be a great deal for those who want dedicated camera quality without carrying another device, however, we'll have to get some hands on time with the accessories before we make a complete judgement.
The QX100 is said to feature a 20.2MP sensor, with f/1.8 aperture, and 3.6x Optical Zoom, as well as a zoom ring, while the cheaper QX10 will feature an 18MP CMOS sensor and a f/3.5-3.9 lens. We expect the two clip-on lens attachments to be released with the Sony Honami on September 4th, however, nothing is official as of yet.
If the pricing for the QX10 and QX100 pan out this way, will you be looking to buy one of them?
