Samsung's recently announced Galaxy Note 3 smartphone and Galaxy Gear smartwatch will be launched in Canada starting with October 4, a new report says.
A few days ago, we learned that the two devices will be available in Canada from various electronics retailers and mobile operators "later this year," as an actual release date was not announced.
Now, MobilySyrup says that it received "word" that the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear will hit Canadian stores on Friday, October 4, although it's not clear what carriers will have them in stores first.
The publication says that Telus was first to confirm the date, without revealing pricing details for the two devices. Android in Canada also says that Telus will launch the smartphone and smartwatch on that day. However, we’ll note that nothing is official just yet, as Telus is yet to list the two new Galaxy devices on its website.
Rogers and Bell will also have the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear in stock, and will be joined by other mobile operators in the region. We’ll be back with more launch details for Canada for the two devices once we have them.
