Moto X: shipping 100,000 ''homegrown'' smartphones per week Sep 11th 2013, 10:00, by Loie Favre The term ''buying local'' or ''supporting local businesses'' doesn't just refer to homegrown fruits and veggies anymore, but also applies to smartphones in the case of the Motorola Moto X phone. The Google bought company is currently shipping out 100,000 new Moto X phones to American citizens every week, and that without long shipping times, had the phones been made in China.
