Time to put another smartphone rumor out to pasture; the HTC One Max is now official and headed to various markets later this month (October).
As expected, the device is a massive one with a 5.9-inch 1080p HD display. Powered by Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with HTC’s Sense 5.5 UI, the HTC One Max provides the same great user experience and software touches that make up the flagship 4.7-inch model. LIke the HTC One and HTC One Mini, this guy also comes with an UltraPixel camera, Boom Sound, HTC Zoe, and BlinkFeed.
In terms of specifications, the HTC One max includes a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, 2GB RAM and either 16GB or 32GB internal storage. Unlike its 2013 brethren, the smartphone employs a fingerprint scanner (unlocking, launching apps) and a removable back for access to the microSD expansion port. Battery is rated at 3330mAh however an official HTC Power Flip cases tosses in an additional 1150mAH worthy of juice.
The HTC One Max targets select markets later this month; U.S. network operators have yet to announce their respective plans to carry the smartphone.
