Dell on Wednesday announced a pair of Android-powered tablets for the consumer market with the Venue 7 and Venue 8. As the names give away, these are 7-inch and 8-inch devices; both have relatively lower price tags and are expected in October.
The Venue 7 comes with a dual-core 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 Clover Trail+ processor, 7-inch 1280×800 display, 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The Venue 8 is nearly identical except that it offers a dual-core 2.0GHz Intel Atom Z2580 Clover Trail+. Both tablets run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and include microSD card slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB ports.
In terms of cameras, the Venue 7 has a 3-megapixel rear and VGA front shooter while the Venue 8 gets an 8-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front combo. The Venue 7 will be priced $150, the Venue 8 will be priced $180, and both arrive October 18th.
