The impending release of LG’s new flagship, the G2, has been getting a lot of attention recently, and for a lot of good reasons. It’s expected to feature top-of-the-line specs, and include the latest software. We do know that the G2 will most likely be announced at LG’s press event in NYC on August 7, but when will it be released?
We’re still in the dark on that one, but a Korean tech site has a pretty good idea…
In early August, the G2 will most likely be released in Korea, probably very soon after the phone’s announcement in NYC. A North American release will come next in September, with Europe following shortly after. On a global scale, the smartphone should be available in October.
None of these (non-specific) dates are confirmed by LG, but it does sound legitimate and would make perfect sense that the phone would come out at the aforementioned times. We’ll see soon enough on August 7.
