HTC hasn’t had the sweetest numbers lately when it comes to their quarterlies, and this time around was no different. In their preliminary unaudited financial results for Q3 of this year (2013), the Taiwanese company is reporting a total operating loss of around $101 million USD. The totals look like this:
- Total revenues of $1.6 billion (NT$47.05 billion)
- Operating loss before tax of $119.4 million (NT$3.50 billion)
- Operating loss after tax of $101.3 million (NT$2.97 billion)
- Earnings per share after tax of -$0.12 (-NT$3.58)
This is in comparison to the previous quarter, with about $2.5 billion USD in revenue and $42 million USD in operating gain. We’re hoping that what we’re seeing here isn’t the start of a long uphill battle for HTC, but with numbers like these, it’s hard to say for sure.
