Motorola is expected to formally introduce its next smartphone, the Moto G, tomorrow at 9AM EST. It’s here, through Motorola’s livestream broadcast, that we should see the debut of a device that resembles the Moto X, but with less hardware.
As you can tell by the headline, we already know what hardware to expect from Motorola. Thanks to German retailer The Phone House, we have even more confirmation as to what lies under the hood for the Moto G.
According to the details, which have since been pulled, the Motorola Moto G will feature a 4.5 inch (720×1280) LCD display, a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB RAM, and 8GB internal storage. Flanked by two cameras (5-megapixel rear, 1.2-megapixel front), the Moto G features HSPA+ connectivity and a 2070mAh battery. Features such as microSD expansion and LTE connectivity are unclear, at least for this particular model.
The Phone House says the pricing for a SIM-free model comes in at £149 (approximately $240 USD), something we’re quite happy with. The earliest rumors of the Moto G suggested that Motorola would be readying a device for emerging markets; the hardware and pricing suggests this is exactly what’s going on here.
