A new rumor offers some specs for the HTC M8, which is expected to be the company's 2014 flagship smartphone.
The second-generation HTC One – are we looking at an HTC One (2014) naming scheme here? – will apparently pack a 5-inch 1080p display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, at least according to trusted leaker @evleaks:
Sounds like the HTC M8 is — and you could probably predict — a 5-inch, 1080p handset powered by KitKat and a Snapdragon 800.

The phone will reportedly run Android 4.4 KitKat from launch, most likely with Sense on top.
Assuming these leaked specs are accurate, then the new HTC One should offer superior performance thanks to a processor upgrade (from Snapdragon 600 to Snapdragon 800).
However, we're certainly looking forward to seeing what new mobile chips Qualcomm is cooking for future generations of devices, even though the Snapdragon 800 is by no means an old CPU.
@evleaks did not mention anything else about the handset, and did not post any official images of the handset – it's too early for them anyway. We did see some alleged HTC M8 images a few days ago, and also heard that the phone will be available from all major U.S. carriers in the first quarter of 2014.
Anyone excited for a new HTC One?
