This past weekend saw the first official-looking renders of the new Nexus 7 arrive, giving us a rather clear image of the front and back. Set to arrive as soon as July 30 or July 31, the tablet may prove to be a little more sleek and svelte that its predecessor.
Also surfacing in the last few days, a leaked Best Buy ad which confirms the rumors 1900×1200 display resolution. We had seen a number of details pop up over the previous few days which spell out most of the specs, however, none were able to confirm the screen pixel count. Indeed, the $229.99 price looks to be official as well.
If the ad proves correct, we should see the next-gen Nexus 7 arrive in stores on July 30 and not the 31st we were expecting. Perhaps we’ll get more details in a couple of days when we have our breakfast with Sundar Pichai.
