NVIDIA took to their official blog this Sunday to announce that the gaming console/entertainment device, SHIELD, is set to launch on July 31. Indeed, after roughly one month delay, the Tegra 4-powered Android unit is in full production.
Last month, we made the difficult decision to delay the launch of SHIELD due to a mechanical issue we found in our rigorous testing process. Since then we have been working non-stop to put SHIELD through its paces and ensure it meets the highest quality control standards in the industry.
For those of you haven’t placed an order for the NVIDIA Shield, there’s still time to do so. In fact, doing just that could net you a free t-shirt in the process. Simply head to your nearest NVIDIA Experience Center!
