Asus roadmap reveals several previously unheard of devices, including the U.S. bound MeMOFone HD 5 Aug 9th 2013, 16:41, by Andrew Grush Earlier today, Asus held a presentation in France where it discussed the company’s strategy for the months ahead. Thanks to the Chinese-based VR Zone, we now have two slides from the presentation that reveal several upcoming Asus devices that were previously unheard of. In total there are either 3 or 5 new devices on there way: the MeMOFone HD 5, MeMO Pad HD 8, PadFone Mini and even perhaps two new Transformer Pad tablets. To be frank, we know next to nothing about most of these devices, but we can make a few educated guesses as to what to expect. MeMOFone HD 5 During the presentation, Asus didn’t give much in the way of details about these upcoming devices, but they did let it slip that the MeMOFone HD 5 would arrive stateside. This certainly seems to fall in line with Asus’ previous comments about breaking into the U.S. market in 2014. We can also ascertain that the MeMOFone HD 5 will probably be a low-cost 5-inch handset, as the MeMO line has so far been reserved for budget tablets. MemoPad HD 8 and FonePad Mini With 8-inch tablets growing in popularity, the MemoPad HD 8 looks to be the 8-inch alternative to the existing MemoPad HD 7. Beyond getting a larger display, it’s unclear whether or not the specs will otherwise stay the same as the HD 7. As for the Mini? This could be Asus' answer to the Galaxy S4 Mini and HTC One Mini. What we don't know is what exactly will be "mini" about the device. It could certainly be the phone itself, the tablet dock, or both. Transformer Pad HD and FHD Lastly, we have the Transformer Pad line. As you already saw in the slides above, there will apparently be a Transformer Pad FHD and HD model going forward. Now it's possible that these are simply re-branded names for the existing 300 and Infinity lines, or they could be completely new devices. Not a lot of answers here, we know. We may not know exactly how this mystery will unfold, but it looks like it is going to be a fun ride. What do you think, are you excited about the prospect of Asus finally brings its phone series over to the states?
