Hot on the heels of the official unveiling of the Moto X, AT&T has checked in to tell us about their variant — and it will be the one most people will want. Other carriers will of course be selling the Moto X, but only AT&T is offering the rumored customization options everyone was curious about, as well as the 32GB version of the phone. Here's a list of the AT&T-only options:
- Color options for the front and back (2 colors for the front, 16 for the back)
- Accent colors for the power key, volume key and camera ring (7 color options)
- Adding your name or short message on the phone
- Unique wallpapers
- Wake-up message
- Memory capacity – 16GB ($199 with 2 year agreement) or 32GB ($249 with 2 year agreement)
We've been expecting some customization for the Moto X based on all the leaked news and images, but now we're hearing that many of them — including the all-important 32GB version — will be AT&T only. It's a bit of a let-down for many.
But in AT&T's favor, they now have a very compelling option to go head-to-head with Verizon's Droid models, and this should be a popular seller. We're impressed with what we've seen so far. Expect more Moto X news to come from other carriers, and hopefully other surprises with each announcement. Follow the jump for AT&T's full press release.
