Remember the Sony Nexus X? Just in case you're not up to date with fakes and hoaxes, the "Nexus X" was a clever prank that one graphic artist played on the tech blogosphere in October 2012. Dozens of sites reported on the story, some more enthusiastically than others, until the hoaxer came out to burst our collective bubble.
I prefaced this post with the recount of a hoax just to remind you to take everything that isn't official information with a grain of salt. The images below were supposedly sent to a small tech site by an anonymous tipster, so precautions apply.
With that said, these four alleged Sony Honami photos look quite believable and, if you ask me, quite sexy.
The photos seem to confirm previous leaks, showing a thin device with a glass back and a metal frame wrapped around its sides.
As a refresher, Honami is the codename of Sony i1, a device that promises to dazzle with a Snapdragon 800 processor and a 20MP camera. The latest gossip is we'll see the i1 one launched at IFA 2013 Berlin, which will take place in the first week of September.
I'll leave it to you to decide if these pics are the real deal. Would you like the Honami to look like that?
