Black and white HTC One versions
After a press render concept for the HTC One Max (T6) smartphone made its way online a few hours ago, an HTC official confirmed to a publication that the posted image is in fact fake.
Jeff Gordon, HTC's Senior Global Online Communications Manager "trolled" an Engadget post a few hours after the publication posted the same image we showed you yesterday saying the following:
Fake. @evleaks is way off his game.
Comically, another reader advised Gordon – who posted under the name urbanstrata, which happens to be his Twitter account name as well – to "get out of there," labeling him as a "troll:"
Urbanstrata then clarified the matter in a response, saying that he knows the image is fake because he works for HTC. He further addressed the matter on his Twitter account, confirming it was he who posted in the comments section of the blog:
Me: Try to make a helpful comment on @engadget about the company I work for.
Engadget commenter: "Get out of here, troll."
:-(

While @evleaks is well-known for his mostly-accurate mobile leaks, we will note that he did say that the picture was a "non-final" artwork version when posting the image.
That said, it's certainly interesting to see an HTC official deny this particular image, especially since we've seen other HTC One Max leaks in the past few days.
