Nvidia Tegra 4

NVIDIA's rumored Tegra Tab 7 tablet has apparently been spotted in AnTuTu benchmark, although the product is yet to become official.

Recent rumors have suggested that NVIDIA may be interested to launch its own 7-inch tablet, which may be called the Tegra Tab 7 – a name for which NVIDIA already holds a trademark.

China's Shenzhen Homecare Technology will reportedly make the device, and we'll notice that the alleged AnTuTu benchmark test shows that a "TegraTab7-Premium" device has been tested in China.

Running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and sporting a 1810MHz chip – we assume it's a NVIDIA Tegra 4 CPU – the device scored a more than decent 27643. But that number is significantly lower than what the Shield console scored in the same test.

That said, we'll remind you that there's always a chance such tests are fakes, so we'll take it with the appropriate grain of salt.

At this time, it's not clear when a Tegra Tab 7 will be launched. But the company must certainly not be happy with the fact that other Android OEMs have not chosen the Tegra 4 processors to power their 2013 devices – aside from its Shield console, there aren't that many Tegra 4 devices out there.

The Tegra Tab 7 is said to pack a 7-inch display with 1280 x 736 resolution, 5-megapixel camera, microUSB, microHDMI and stylus support.
