New details surfacing for the Tegra Tab suggest the 7-inch tablet will be powered by a quad-core 1.8GHz Tegra processor. According to recently uncovered benchmarks, the device is being tested in China under the name of TegraTab7-Premium and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
Previous rumors for the Tegra Tad indicate we should expect a 5-megapixel rear camera, microUSB, microHDMI, and stylus support. The 7-inch display is reported to run at 1280×736 resolution. As for the AnTuTu scores, well, it allegedly runs circles around the Nexus 7 (2013) figures. One likely reason for the variance comes in the difference in display resolutions.
We typically don’t place too much emphasis on benchmarks and scores at AndroidGuys; our average reader doesn’t care about those finer details. The takeaway here is that the device looks to be further along in production than we thought and that it’s likely going to be here before long.
