Samsung all but confirms Galaxy S III for May 3 event

Posted: 16 Apr 2012 08:06 AM PDT

Samsung, in emails being sent out today, has done everything but confirm the Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone for a May 3rd debut.  Advising that we'll be able to meet the "Next Galaxy" at the Unpacked event taking place in London, it's pretty much a lock that we're not going to see something like a Galaxy Pocket M Plus or some silly variant of an existing device.

For those of you who are interested in following the news closely, Samsung will be providing a live stream of the event on Facebook. Given the timing is less than a week before CTIA, we are hopeful that Samsung brings the Galaxy S III to the annual mobile conference.
