Chances are there's not just one person that you don't want to hear from; there are more than likely several, though that may be the cynic in me. Likewise, there's probably people you know that fit into other groups, like "family," "friends," and "mafia connections." Google understands this, and as we all know, implemented this knowledge within Google+, bringing forth Circles, one of the product's best features.
Carrying out their plan to make Google+ the center of the Googleverse, they've brought the Circle feature to another of their prominent products: Google Voice. Now you'll be able to group your peeps together into groups, that you can give specific actions to. For example, you could have you "ex-girlfriends" group go straight to voicemail. It's definitely more efficient than the previous way of having to do everything on a person-by-person basis. The new settings are found under an added tab, "Groups & Circles," under the Google Voice settings.
So what do you think of the new feature? Something that you'll be using? Let us know your thoughts in the comments! If you haven't updated Google Voice on your device yet, you can do so by using the box below.

The first version of the MetaTrader 5 Android was released in October 2011. The new version has added charts of financial instruments, which enables the user to visualise the price dynamics of financial instruments and facilitate analysis of quotes.
Another important innovation is the optimised interface of the application for use on tablet PCs powered by the Android OS. Now the MetaTrader 5 Android looks equally good on smartphones and tablet computers. Moreover, the application efficiently uses the high-resolution screen of tablet PCs to give traders even more opportunities for working with financial information.
"We consistently develop our mobile trading platforms," said Gaies Chreis, COO of MetaQuotes Software Corp. "For MetaTrader 5, we have developed trading platforms running on the most popular mobile operating systems used by most traders. Now they can trade from their favorite mobile devices, and it's all absolutely free."
MetaQuotes Software Corp. has high hopes for mobile trading platforms and believes they will play an growing role in the development of trading in the next two to three years. That is why, it stepped up the development of its mobile platforms last year. Three brand-new mobile applications for MetaTrader4 and MetaTrader 5 have been released already. The company is working on a new MetaTrader 4 Android as well and soon will release it.

We first heard whispers about Google launching their own tablet, which might go under the Nexus name, about three months ago. Digitimes claimed a few weeks later that the device was real, and would be a 7-inch tablet. More rumors have been going around about the possibility of a Nexus tablet, and this time it's coming from a DisplaySearch analyst. He (or she) has told CNET that the device will indeed be 7 inches, with a 1280 x 800 resolution display, running Ice Cream Sandwich. The tablet is rumored to have a price tag around $199, which would make it a direct competitor to the Kindle Fire. We wish there was more to go on, but there's not at the moment.
So, if the rumors are true, Google's tablet will have a decent display, ICS, and a good price. Now before we all go rushing to the store to preorder one, we have to evaluate the validity of these claims. When Google finishes its acquisition of Motorola Mobility, it'll gain ownership over the original Xoom, and both the 10.1-inch and 8.2-inch Xyboards. This begs the question of why Google would want another tablet in the first place.
So until we get some concrete evidence, we'll be taking these rumors with little more than a grain of salt, and we advise you to do the same. All that being said, we want to know what you think. Could Google really be planning their own tablet, or is it all smoke and mirrors? Sound off in the comments below!

2011 was certainly a big year for Android, so it's not really a surprise to us that Millenial Media's Mobile Mix year in review report shows Android on the top in nearly every aspect of the mobile world. The most notable facts include:
  • In 2010, iOS held the market share with 41%, and Android trailed with just 30%. However, Android saw rapid growth in the past year, clinching the majority of the market with a 47% share, and iOS fell to a 33% share.
  • Of the top 20 phones (according to Mobile Mix) in 2011, thirteen of them are Android devices.
  • Companies also benefited from Android's growth. In 2011, HTC landed the number 3 spot on the top manufacturers, thanks to some key Android devices like the HTC Flyer and Sensation. Samsung was able to grab the number 2 spot, just behind Apple at number 1.
  • It's also quite interesting how quickly tablet sales have increased in the past two years. In 2010, 17.4 million units were shipped, most of them probably iPads. In 2011, this number grew almost four-fold, with 64.7 units being shipped. Mobile Mix estimates that by 2015, we'll see as many as 287 million units sold per year. No doubt Honeycomb has played a role in this statistic.
We definitely saw great things from Android last year, and here's to an even bigger 2012! What do you think was Android's biggest accomplishment in 2011? Was it the Motorola Xoom, the first Honeycomb tablet? Or perhaps it was the release of Ice Cream Sandwich? Drop a comment below!

For the majority of users, the Android Market is the place to go for apps, games, and books. The Amazon Appstore is one third-party app market that is actually holding its own against Google's app market. According to a downloadable report by Distimo, the numbers indicate that the Amazon Appstore is rapidly growing, and it may be only a matter of time before it's on a level playing field with the Market. Here are some of the notable observations:
  • In terms of growth, the Amazon Appstore's download numbers increased fourteen-fold between October and December of 2011. This is probably due to the Kindle Fire, which exclusively uses the Appstore.
  • In the last week of January 2012, 110 applications in both the Android Market and Amazon Appstore earned at least $200 per app, per day. 28% of the total income generated by these apps came from the Amazon Appstore. 42 of these apps generated more income in the Appstore than in the Market.
  • While the Market has about fourteen times as many apps as the Appstore, new apps in December and January prove that Amazon is catching up, as there were only five times as many new apps in the Market.
  • Paid applications in the Market make up about 32-38% of the total number of apps, while paid apps in the Appstore hold a strong 65% majority. Furthermore, the average price of paid applications in the Appstore is 40% less than the price in the Market. This is linked to Amazon setting their own prices in the Appstore, and giving discounts on some apps.
So, thanks to some help by the Kindle Fire, Amazon is looking at a solid increase in size and user count. If things continue at this rate, the Appstore could be fairly close to the Market by this time next year. It's interesting that based on the study, developers are beginning to lean more towards the Appstore, perhaps because there aren't as many restrictions as the Market. One can only imagine what kind of impact the Kindle Fire successor we've been hearing about will have on the Amazon Appstore. More on this as it develops.
So now that we have an idea of where Amazon and Google stand in the app world, we want to know: which do you prefer, the Appstore or the Market? Sound off in the comments below!

Madison, WI – February 21, 2012 – RotoWire (www.rotowire.com), the leading fantasy sports resource on the web, today announced the launch of four fantasy sports apps for the 2012 baseball season. The apps, which enable sports enthusiasts to get the latest player news, analysis, rankings and recommendations, as well as to manage their fantasy teams, are available on the iPhone, iPad and Android-powered devices. In addition, RotoWire offers Fantasy Player News and Player Outlooks on CBS' new open fantasy platform, CBSSports.com App Central. These apps provide real-time player news and in-depth player profiles to help fantasy baseball players make the most timely and informed roster decisions. "Consumers are increasingly shifting time away from TVs and PCS to consume more content on tablets and smartphones, and fantasy sports is at the forefront of this trend," said Peter Schoenke, president of RotoWire. "RotoWire has launched 17 mobile sports apps running across all major platforms so that sports enthusiasts have cutting-edge fantasy capabilities –including researching players, finding the latest news and getting customized team analysis – from their device of choice. This is a grand slam for fantasy players." RotoWire's award-winning fantasy baseball apps, new for the 2012 season, include the following: Fantasy Baseball Draft Kit: Helps managers during their draft by giving them rankings, allowing them to cross off players taken during the draft and to get real-time recommendations. Plus, it contains a wealth of RotoWire data about players, such as player news, injuries, etc.
Fantasy Baseball Assistant: This in-season app helps fantasy enthusiasts manage their team post-draft. This includes up-to-date baseball news and analysis, in-depth player detail pages, rankings, the ability to create and manage watch lists and relevant articles and blogs, and more.
Fantasy News Center: Provides up-to-the-minute fantasy sports news and analysis for MLB players, as well as those in the NFL, NBA, NHL, golf, racing, college football, college basketball, and soccer.
Fantasy Sports Meets Mobile Explosion
IDC predicts that the number of mobile Internet users will grow 16.6% annually over the next few years, with more U.S. Internet users accessing the Internet through mobile devices than through PCs or other wireline devices by 2015. A recent study from Ipsos Public Affairs for the Fantasy Sports Trade Association showed 9% of fantasy players used a tablet device when researching for a fantasy draft, and many analysts say the use of tablets is growing rapidly in fantasy sports.
This is a huge market for providers of sports content, with an estimated 32 million people playing fantasy sports in the U.S. alone, according to Ipsos Public Affairs. RotoWire has captured a significant segment of the fantasy market by offering the most in-depth analysis, the fastest real-time news and the largest scope of coverage over the most platforms of any fantasy sports site.
