Double Dragon collection coming to Android later this year; watch the trailer inside [VIDEO]
Oct 30th 2013, 13:55, by Quentyn Kennemer

Side-scrolling beat-em up fans will be pleased to learn that DotEmu will be bringing one of the most classic franchises to mobile at some point this year. I’m speaking of Double Dragon, the game that had you and your brother fighting over who would be the one to kiss the damsel in distress at the end of the game.

We’re not getting one game. We’re not even getting two. DotEmu will be bringing the first three Double Dragon games in one nice, neat, downloadable package. The game isn’t terribly complex, nor was it the most original concept for its time, but it captivated us as if it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.

This is something many gaming fans should be happy about, E=even if nostalgia is your only incentive for getting excited. The games will feature Bluetooth controller support for those not down with on-screen controls, leaderboard support, a new difficulty mode, and more. No word on cost or exact release date just yet, but we should be seeing it sometime before Santa lands on your rooftop to gobble up the milk and cookies this Christmas. Watch a quick video highlight above.

Google Glass and moving violations: There will be growing pains
Oct 30th 2013, 13:26, by Phil Nickinson

Ticket

Making the rounds this overnight is a Google+ post from one Cecilia Abadie, who received a ticket for wearing Google Glass while driving. She puts it thusly:

A cop just stopped me and gave me a ticket for wearing Google Glass while driving! The exact line says: Driving with Monitor visible to Driver (Google Glass).

That's not actually why Abadie was stopped, it appears — unless Google Glass caused her to break the speed limit. And folks are trying to argue that Glass falls under the exemptions for that particular California law anyway.

I think they're wrong, but I also think the discussion needs to be had.

Anyhoo, get used to seeing more stories like this. As with any new technology, there will be growing pains. We adapt as societies when new technologies become commonplace. And still very much in the early stages of wearables. And it's worth noting that Google Glass is very much not a consumer product yet.

Nexus 5 prototype appears at Taiwanese FCC with images in tow

Nexus_5_Taiwanese FCC_02Just in case you haven’t gotten your Nexus 5 fix yet this morning, we have some more for you. This time from the NCC, which is the Taiwanese equivalent of the FCC here in the U.S. This is obviously and early prototype, but it still has that funky camera lens. We also get an image of the battery, which confirms the very disappointing 2.300mAh size. Hit the break for more images.

Nexus_5_Leak_Unboxed

I really want the Nexus 5 to be released. Not because I want one (well I do). It’s more about stopping all these leaks. At this point in the game the only leak that is worthy is the actual device in my hand. Anyhow, if you just can’t get enough Nexus 5, here’s another image, this time just after it was taken out of the box. There isn’t much more to say about it.

Cheers Charles!!
