Broadcom announces its first super-fast 802.11ac Wi-Fi chip for mobile devices

Posted: 25 Jul 2012 02:30 AM PDT

If the speed of the Wi-Fi 802.11n spec isn’t fast enough for you, you should celebrate the upcoming 802.11ac spec, which, according to Broadcom, promises speeds of up to 3x faster, with 6x less power consumption for mobile devices. Whether you believe these claims or not, the fact that the 802.11ac spec will be a big improvement over 802.11n is a given.

Broadcom‘s BCM 4335 chipset includes 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and FM radio, as an all-in-one chip. Broadcom says that this chip is in “full sample mode” right now, and we won’t get to see it in devices until early 2013. So I wouldn’t get my hopes high about buying a phone with 802.11ac this year, even with a chip coming from Broadcom’s competitors. After all, the 802.11ac specification has barely just been finalized.

Belkin AC1000 DB 802.11ac router

To take full advantage of the speeds that Wi-Fi 802.11ac offers, you’ll need to have at least a 500 Mbps connection, up to 1 Gbps, and also a 802.11ac router, which are just now starting to show up in the market, usually at over $100. Furthermore, if you don’t want to experience transfer bottlenecks, you’ll need a very fast smartphone that uses one of the latest processors, to process all the data coming in, and a very fast storage module, to handle the data flood.

So when you get a 802.11ac smartphone next year, I suggest you go for the high-end ones, but that’s only if you you have a very good Internet connection and you want to get maximal speeds on your phone. The high-speed net connection part might be a problem if you live in the US.  The Google Fiber network sounds promising, and it will hopefully push the competition to adopt 1 Gbit connections as well.

But even if you won’t have a high-speed connection or powerful device, you would still benefit from the much lower power consumption of the 802.11ac Wi-Fi chip.

ARM and TSMC start working on FinFET process technology for the 64-bit ARMv8 architecture

Posted: 25 Jul 2012 02:17 AM PDT

TSMC is the largest foundry in the world, and it’s usually the main company that Nvidia, Qualcomm and others turn to when they want their chips manufactured. As an IP vendor, ARM has to work close with TSMC, much earlier than their IP clients, so they can prepare everything for the transition to the new chip architectures and the new process technologies.

While we’re currently only on 28nm/32 nm, ARM has been working with TSMC and others for the next-gen 20nm/22nm process, and also for the 14nm/15nm process, which are still many years away. As chip makers create smaller and smaller processes, it becomes ever harder to shrink the chips, while maintaining or improving performance and power consumption.

This is why ARM need to use a technology called FinFET, which is much like Intel’s tri-gate transistor technology that they’re using in Ivy Bridge. Although ARM and their partners won’t be using FinFET until they get to the 14nm/15nm process, they have already started working on transitioning to FinFET for their 64 bit ARMv8 architecture:

"By working closely with TSMC, we are able to leverage TSMC's ability to quickly ramp volume production of highly integrated SoCs in advanced silicon process technology," said Simon Segars, executive vice president and general manager, processor and physical IP divisions, ARM.  "The ongoing deep collaboration with TSMC provides customers earlier access to FinFET technology to bring high-performance, power-efficient products to market."

"This collaboration brings two industry leaders together earlier than ever before to optimize our FinFET process with ARM's 64-bit processors and physical IP," said Cliff Hou, vice president, TSMC Research & Development.  "We can successfully achieve targets for high speed, low voltage and low leakage, thereby satisfying the requirements of our mutual customers and meeting their time-to-market goals."

The 64-bit architecture is supposed to be “finished” next year, although we won’t see a 64-bit CPU based on it until 2014 (the CPU coming next after Cortex A15). We’re going to wait even more for the FinFET chips, as 20nm chips are only expected to come in late 2013/early 2014, so I don’t think we’ll see the 14nm/15nm FinFET ones until 2015-2016.

Galaxy S3 dumb search ‘feature’ coming to international version via OTA update

Posted: 25 Jul 2012 02:16 AM PDT

The Apple vs Samsung legal patent war, so far won by Apple, at least according to the favorable pre-trial verdicts the company got, already has an unwanted effect on the overall Galaxy S3 user experience.

Samsung is rolling out a firmware update that dumbs down the search app of the phone – instead of getting local and web results when performing a search you'll only get web results after the update is applied. The update has already been made available to Sprint, AT&T and Verizon Galaxy S3 buyers (in that order) and it looks like it's also coming to international Galaxy S3 versions.

Galaxy S3 owners in Canada report that a Galaxy S3 over-the-air (OTA) update is available at this time, and firmware version XXBLG6 that measures 27MB will remove local search from the Search app. We're not sure whether Galaxy S3 buyers in other regions of the world are also getting the update, so keep us in the loop by using the comments section below!

The company is obviously trying to prevent an Apple injunction attempt that would target the new Galaxy S3 smartphone. Apple already tried to delay the Galaxy S3 launch in the U.S. but its motion was denied, and chances are the iPhone maker will continue to look to obtain an injunction against the Galaxy S3.

Just recently, Apple was granted sales bans in the U.S. on the Galaxy Tab 10.1 (upheld after two lost Samsung appeals) and the Galaxy Nexus (stayed on second appeal). One of the Apple patents found to be infringing by the latter was the "unified search" patent, that describes a technology that offers device users local and web results when performing a search.

The Galaxy Nexus has also received its own "dumb search" feature, and the Galaxy S3 will follow, as Samsung is trying to avoid future Apple actions against the smartphone.

The U.S. trial between the two companies is set to start on July 30, in just a few days. We have already learned that Apple is asking for $2.525 billion in royalties and damages for allegedly infringing Samsung products although it would rather obtain an injunction against those products instead of cash.

Vtap QuickSearch brings back the smart search feature lost on Galaxy S3

Posted: 25 Jul 2012 02:06 AM PDT

We are all familiar with the unwanted software update available to US and international users of the Galaxy S3, which introduces a “dumbed down” search feature.

Now, using the search function will return results only from the web, with anything that is stored on the device, such as contacts, messages, apps, etc. not showing up anymore. This precautionary measure is how Samsung hopes to avoid yet another injunction from Apple. Unfortunately, the only real losers are Samsung Galaxy S3 users.

Luckily, with the advent of the app-based ecosystem, and a lot of third-party app developers, if there’s something missing, there’s probably an app for it. This is certainly true in the case of the missing search features Galaxy S3 owners were used to before the update. The app that will bring the smart search feature back is Vtap QuickSearch, developed by Veveo Inc.

With Vtap QuickSearch, you can again search for contacts, apps, music, utilities and anything else on your Android phone, without needing to navigate menus. QuickSearch populates search results as soon as you start typing, and searches through your contacts, device utilities, and apps, but also text messages, apps that are not installed but available on the Google Play Store, Wikipedia entries, and of course, a “basic” Google web search. In addition, frequently used apps, utilities, and contacts are also available on the QuickSearch dashboard, when you open the app or tap the widget.

You can check out a video of the Vtap QuickSearch app in action here:

This app is not only recommended for Samsung Galaxy S3 owners suffering from the dumbed-down search function, but for all Android device users looking for a comprehensive search tool right on their homescreens. The latest version also includes support for tablets and devices running Android 4.1.

You can check out the Vtap QuickSearch app from the Google Play Store here.

What are your thoughts? Will you using the Vtap QuickSearch app? Do you think this app makes up for the lost functionality of the Galaxy S3 search feature? If you’ve used this app already, let us know your experience in the comments section below.

Google Nexus 7 video tutorial series continues with “Make Yourself at Home” – how to customize the home screen

Posted: 25 Jul 2012 01:47 AM PDT

After showing Nexus 7 buyers how to perform the initial tablet setup in a short video yesterday, Google released a new mini video tutorial that unseasoned Android users should check out.

Just like last time, we're looking at a 75-second clip that deals with creating home screens, adding widgets and apps to those home screens and organizing apps into folders according to your needs – in short, you’ll learn how to customize the tablet’s home screen.

It's all very simple and straightforward, especially if you have owned an Android device or a mobile device before the Nexus 7. In case the Nexus 7 is the first smart device, then these videos should come in handy, although I suspect you're going to soon learn all there is to know about the tablet, if you haven't done so already.

We expect Google to release more Nexus 7 videos but those of you that want more advanced tips and tricks for the Nexus 7 should follow our in-depth coverage of the Jelly Bean tablet here at Android Authority.

ASUS Padfone receives firmware update to Android 4.0.4, and other performance enhancements

Posted: 25 Jul 2012 01:35 AM PDT

computex-asus-padfone-00027

The ASUS Padfone, which was unveiled earlier this year at the Mobile World Conference, was expected to revolutionize the world of mobile technology. The device is certainly unique, and all-encompassing, with its ability to change from a smartphone to a tablet using a Padstation, which can further be used as a laptop using a keyboard dock. Unfortunately, this revolution costs $860 in the US, with no carrier willing to subsidize rates in sight.

If you have shelled out the big amount, and are a proud owner of this revolutionary tech, you’ll be happy to know that a firmware update is now available for the ASUS Padfone. Taking the build to the version 9.20.1.22, this update brings an upgrade in Android OS version to 4.0.4 (NOT 4.1, before you get too excited) along with a host of other software and performance enhancements. The full changelog includes:

  • System upgrade to Android 4.0.4
  • Elevate system stability and optimize the operating performance
  • Optimize Dynamic Display Switch (DDS) performance
  • Optimize power consumption
  • Optimize Camera performance and quality
  • Message / Email edit function improvement
    • Group Edit
    • Email update frequency, “peak time” and “Off peak time” setting feature added.
  • Optimize Input method
  • SD card support to 64GB
  • Super Note function added
    • Reset the password
    • Hand Writing Recognition Speed
  • Device tracking and data protection support.
  • Register and Setting of Device Tracker (http://devicetracker.asus.com/select_lang.action)

As you can see, there are some significant upgrades and enhancements now available, such as the enhanced camera performance and quality, to push the 8MP camera to its full potential, and the increased 64GB microSD card support (previously 32GB). Another important feature for anyone worried about losing their device is the Device tracking and data protection support.

Check out our Darcy LaCouvee giving the Padfone a quick hands-on during Computex 2012:

You can find the update by going to Settings – About – System Firmware Update – Check Update, or directly from the ASUS website here.

What are your thoughts? Do you own an ASUS Padfone? If you’ve done the firmware update already, let us know your experience in the comments section below.

AutoReader 3D: Reading in 3D stereo and reducing eye strain

Posted: 25 Jul 2012 01:30 AM PDT

Being able to carry copies of digital books may have made things easier for many of us, but if you read something for hours on end, it won’t take long before you’ve developed a headache and eyestrain. We have different ways of coping. Some of us turn down the brightness level of our mobile devices, while others change the background and the text color. Smarter, more savvy Android users, will have a different approach to preventing eyestrain.

Developed by webstunning apps, AutoReader 3D looks like a regular reader at first. When you launch it, you’ll see a very clean interface with no frills. The app comes with an explanatory guide which you can test the app’s features on.

If you find the reader’s default text size too small, you can easily change it by pinching to zoom. The words will then increase in size and fill the screen for easy reading. If you want to turn to the next page, simply swipe from the right to the left. Swipe left to right to go back a page.

AutoReader 3D is not sensitive to your phone’s turning even to the slightest to the left or the right, so you don’t need to worry about the app changing your reading orientation. If you want to switch from the default portrait view to landscape, plant two fingertips on the screen. We suggest your thumb and your pointer finger. Then turn them like you’re turning a doorknob. That will change the screen orientation.

By default, AutoReader 3D shows light text against a dark background. If you’re more comfortable reading dark text on a light background, you can change it in the Settings menu.

What makes AutoReader 3D different from other readers is the Play button on the bottom. When you  tap it, you’ll be brought to another screen. The background will still be dark by default, but it isn’t pure black. It’ll be a textured background of some sort and words will be flashed individually on the screen.

You can adjust the speed these words are flashed at, as well as their size. Simply pinch to zoom and watch as the font becomes bigger or smaller. Tap it once to pause it, but tap it twice to bring up individual words in pairs.

AutoReader 3D is different because it uses the same concept of Stereograms. The developers claim that reading in stereo is beneficial to the eyes as it relaxes the external eye muscles and helps the eyes focus together as a binocular pair.

To be able to read in stereo, you’ll need to change the way you read. The first step involves focusing your gaze beyond the screen, such as the wall behind it, before you focus on the screen. It helps to increase the brightness in the room you’re in so you can see your reflection on the screen.

The two words on the screen will blur into four words. Control your eyes so that the words become three. When the center word is aligned, your brain will lock into place and you’ll be able to focus on it alone.

When writing this Android app review, I tested AutoReader 3D on an HTC Sensation and using the explanatory text file that came with it. Trying to read in 3D was a little hard at first and it felt like I was crossing my eyes, but after a while, it was easy to lock on to the words.

AutoReader 3D claims to also increase the speed of reading and to eliminate subvocalization, the hidden unconscious movement of the organs of the mouth left over from learning to pronounce words in childhood. Because the words were shown individually on the screen, I was able to focus on each of them but it was a challenge to keep up with the sentence structure and meaning.

If you’re still getting used to reading in stereo, I suggest choosing a slower speed to flash the words at. When you’ve had the hang of it, you can then increase the speed.

You can download the ad-supported AutoReader 3D Free from the Google Play Store. If you want to get rid of the ads and support the developer, you can purchase AutoReader 3D, its pro version, for about a dollar.

Sprint’s Samsung Epic 4G Touch coming soon to Boost Mobile

Posted: 25 Jul 2012 01:05 AM PDT

There are very limited options for anyone looking to avoid a 2-year contractual commitment that is required by network carriers in the US. While there are prepaid carriers around, the selection of devices is limited and decidedly “last year.” Unless you’re willing to shell out over $700 for an off-contract unlocked device that is.

Boost Mobile, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sprint Nextel, is one such prepaid wireless service, and, as expected, does not feature the latest devices in its lineup. The kind-of-good-news is that Boost Mobile will soon be selling the Sprint Samsung Epic 4G Touch, which is Sprint’s Samsung Galaxy S2 variant. Sprint is known to sell it’s previous flagship devices with Boost, once they are replaced by newer phones. And the Epic 4G Touch can definitely be replaced, with the HTC EVO 4G LTE (One X variant) and the Samsung Galaxy S3 taking over the mantle.

Phandroid noticed the Boost Mobile Epic 4G Touch in a User Agent Profile that surfaced on Sprint’s servers, that showed a device code-named SPH-D710BST. SPH-D710 is the code for the Epic 4G Touch, with the additional BST most likely standing for Boost Mobile.

As a refresher, the specifications of the Epic 4G Touch are exactly identical to the Galaxy S2, and include:

  • 1.2 Ghz dual-core Exynos processor
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 4.3″ Super AMOLED display
  • 480×800 resolution with 206 ppi
  • 16GB internal storage, expandable via microSD
  • 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front camera
  • 1,800 mAH battery

The Epic 4G Touch is Sprint last year’s flagship device, but it’s still a great option for anyone who is not looking to shell out big money for the latest high-end Android releases, or just doesn’t need or want a very powerful quad-core device. Even by today’s standards, the specifications of the phone are still really good,  and the Samsung Epic 4G Touch should definitely be in consideration for anyone on the Boost Mobile network. Stay tuned for the final pricing and release date information, which should be available soon.

What are your thoughts? Will you be looking to buy the Samsung Epic 4G Touch from Boost Mobile? Let us know in the comments section below.

Huawei unveils the MediaPad 7 Lite ICS tablet

Posted: 25 Jul 2012 12:59 AM PDT

huawei mediapad 7 lite

Huawei has been on a roll lately! As popular as Huawei is in its home market, the Chinese company is now making a move for a piece of the Android market share worldwide. And they have great products to back up their bid. After a very successful showing at this year’s Mobile World Conference, devices such as the Ascend P1 and the Ascend P1S are finally making it to the market, and we’re still eagerly awaiting the release of Huawei’s quad-core powerhouse, the Ascend D Quad.

Huawei is not restricting itself to the smartphone world either, but is releasing some amazing tablets as well. After the announcement of the quad-core MediaPad 10 FHD that is slated for an August release, Huawei also officially unveiled its 7-inch slate, the MediaPad 7 Lite.

Specifications of the device are still not available, but the product information page of the MediaPad 7 Lite boasts features such as:

  • 1080p Full-format movie playing
  • High Quality 3G and WiFi, including cellular voice, SMS, and MMS
  • Full View Angle and clear and vivid display
  • Silver Aluminium alloy unibody design
  • Light and compact, making it very easy to carry

All we know is that the device will feature Android 4.0 ICS out of the box, so it’s unfortunately not going to be the first non-Nexus Android tablet featuring Jelly Bean. This 7-inch slate will come with the “standard” 1280×800 resolution, and if the “full view angle” is any indication, will be an IPS or IPS-like display. For those who found disappointing the absence of a rear camera and microSD support on the Nexus 7, the MediaPad 7 Lite does have a rear camera (from the image) and is expected to come with an expandable memory option as well.

Specifications such as the processor, RAM, internal storage, etc. are still unknown. Information on pricing and release date is also unavailable, but a Q4 release is expected.

We’ll have to wait and see whether the MediaPad 7 Lite is going to be a Nexus 7 competitor. But I’m excited about what Huawei has to offer to the Android world so far and can’t wait to find out more!

What are your thoughts? Are you looking forward to the Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite? Do you think this tablet will compete with the Nexus 7? Let us know in the comments section below.

Best cooking games for Android

Posted: 24 Jul 2012 09:00 PM PDT

There is a vast selection of game apps from the Google Play Store. Most games are linked to our hobbies and interests. Playing these apps allows us to do things that seem difficult to achieve in real life. Through these games, we can be fast and furious drivers, skilled basketball players, spacecraft captains, and a lot more. For those who love to cook, you can also become a professional chef with cooking game apps. These apps let you become a real and professional cook right on your Android device.

We took the trouble of searching the vast sea of apps on the Google Play Store and found the best apps to help you achieve your dream of becoming the fastest and the best cook or chef. Below is our list of the best cooking game apps for your Android device.

Bistro Cook 2

Become a professional chef and serve your hungry customers with the Bistro Cook 2 app. This app makes you a chef and lets you cook your virtual meals on your Android device. The basic control of the game involves tapping the screen to select ingredients, preparing food, and serving your hungry customers. You also need a sharp mind and quick fingers to play this game.

You will be given a set of ingredients to cook. Each ingredient is grouped into 4 pantries: vegetables, meat, others, and drinks. Your customer’s order will also appear on top of the screen.

Your task will be to prepare the meal before the orders pile up. For instance, if your customer orders a fried egg, you will need to tap the egg in the other pantry and tap the frying pan to cook the egg. A progress bar will appear below the dish. Once the bar is full, you can now serve the fried egg by tapping on it and tap the customer’s dish. You also need to avoid burning your food.

I was able to play the game with its easiest difficulty and I was able to cook with my eyes closed. The real fun starts in the app’s medium and hard levels. In these levels, you will have additional ingredients to select, more dishes to cook, and a huge pile of customers waiting to be served.

Become a professional chef with the Bistro Cook 2 app.

Cooking Dash

Becoming a cook is hard work. You need to have the skills in preparing a good meal. The Cooking Dash app lets you experience how it is to become a cook in a kitchen. The game can be played in two modes: Casual Mode and Time Mode.

Casual Mode lets you cook and prepare the dishes for your customers. The game can be played by tapping on the items found in the kitchen. You will also see customers lining up at the counter to order their meal. To cook a meal, just tap on an ingredient to select it and tap the frying pan to cook. A bar gauge will also appear below. Once the gauge is full, you can serve the meal to your customers. You need to be careful not to overcook the dish. Some ingredients, such as cabbage and bread, can be served immediately. You need to act fast — you don’t want angry and starving customers in your restaurant.

Time Mode doesn’t involve cooking your dish. All the dishes have been cooked and displayed on the counter. All you have to do is follow the customer’s order and serve the right food to them. You will also need to act fast, this mode has a time limit. The more customers you serve within the time limit, the more points you earn.

Be fast and feed your hungry customers with the Cooking Dash app.

Stand O’Food 3

Hamburgers are among my favorite foods. Thinking of the juicy patty, the thick dressing, and the delicious buns makes makes me crave for one. If you like hamburgers and you want to run your own hamburger stand, you can do so by playing Stand O’Food 3 on your Android device.

The game lets you play as a cook in a hamburger restaurant. Create a burger and serve it to your hungry customers. The restaurant looks like a burger factory with all those conveyer belts carrying the ingredients for your burgers. Customers will specify the ingredients of their burgers. Tap and arrange the ingredients in their proper order and serve them to your customers. You also need to serve fast. Your customers don’t have the patience to wait for your burgers.

After each round, you will be given a summary of how much you have earned. You can use your earnings to buy additional ingredients and equipment that will help you in the game. You can buy spices to increase the price of your burgers or add accessories to entertain your customers. You can also unlock and serve additional menus such as cakes, lasagnas, fries, and a lot more.

Become a cook and manage your own burger factory with the Stand O’Food 3 app.

Cake Now-Cooking Games

One of my goals in life is to be able to learn how to bake my own cake. I think I can achieve that goal by playing the Cake Now-Cooking Games on my Android device. Although it’s not a real cake and I can’t taste it, playing this app lets you create your own virtual cake. This app is perfect for kids who want to bake cakes without spilling flour all over the kitchen floor.

The first thing you’ll need to do is select the shape of your cake. Afterwards, you will then mix the ingredients to make your cake and bake it in the oven. The fun part is decorating your cake. The app features a variety of decors to design your cake with. I have managed to create a chocolate cake and placed a few decorations on top (see screenshot above). I called my virtual cake the Choco Forest Cake.

You can also save your creation on your device’s SD card. You can even send your virtual cake along with special greetings to your family and friends via email.

Create and bake virtual cakes with the Cake Now-Cooking Games app.

Sushi Bar

Sushi is a Japanese food which consists of a vinegared rice (shari) and combined with a variety of ingredients called neta. The most common neta is seafood. Sushi is also one of the most popular foods worldwide. If you like eating sushi, you can be a sushi cook and manage your own restaurant with the the Sushi Bar game.

Basically, the game lets you play the role of the sushi chef and manage you own sushi bar. You can make sushi by tapping the correct combination of ingredients. The ingredients consist of the rice and the other toppings such as shrimps, salmon, nori, tako, and many more. Customers will also order particular types of sushi. You can refer to the sushi recipe book to learn how to prepare a certain sushi.

Ingredients for your sushi are limited. You need to monitor your supply and make calls for delivery of additional ingredients. You can also offer ocha or sake to make your customers wait longer.

One technique that I found in playing this game is to make sure the food conveyer belt has sufficient supply of sushi. You don’t have to wait for the customer to order before making your sushi. Also keep your eyes on the number of ingredients and make frequent calls to add to your supply.

Become a sushi master chef and manage your own restaurant with the Sushi Bar app.

Sushi Dash Lite

Another sushi cooking game is Sushi Dash Lite. Here, you will become a sushi chef and manage your own sushi restaurant.

Just like the Sushi Bar app, you will be given a set of ingredients to make your sushi. But, instead of just simply tapping the ingredients, the game involves arranging the correct ingredients at their respective counters. You can tap between two sushi counters and transfer ingredients. Slide down the ingredient and roll it in the sushi mat to make your sushi. Take note the ingredient at the bottom of each counter will be transferred to the mat and create a certain sushi.

The main goal of the game is to maintain your restaurant and keep your customer happy. After each round, you will be given a summary of your total earnings for that day. You can use your earnings to buy stuff for your restaurant such as a new sushi mat or a new sushi counter to gain more customers.

Roll the ingredients together and make sushi like a pro with the Sushi Dash Lite.

Cake Mania – Main Street Lite

If you have a sweet tooth and go crazy with cakes, you will then surely love playing the Cake Mania – Main Street Lite game on your Android device. Although this app doesn’t actually satisfy your sweet tooth, this game lets you control Jill and help her make cakes and manage the cake shop.

The game lets you prepare cakes for your customers. Each customer will order a specific type of cake. You will need to go to the oven and select the desired cake shape. After baking the cake, you will also need to decorate the cake with its specific toppings. If you make a mistake, you can throw it in the trash can and remake your cakes, but you will lose some coins, too. Each customer also has her or his own unique attributes, so you will have to be very keen in dealing with your customers.

The goal of this game is to reach your daily quota by serving as many customers within each day. You can also use your earnings to buy additional equipment to help you perform your job faster. You can buy additional ovens or buy Jill a new pair of sandals to make her walk faster.

Satisfy your sweet tooth and manage your own cake shop with Cake Mania – Main Street Lite.

Clinton Burger Stand

The Clinton Burger Stand game lets you control Clinton as he serves his people by filling their stomach. Your task will be to help Clinton cook hotdogs, fries, and much more in his mini food stall. You can play the game in two modes: the Career Mode and Speed Mode.

Playing the Career Mode lets you follow the story of Clinton and his mini stall. You will be given goals that you need to achieve everyday. You can also unlock new places as the game progresses. The game can be played by tapping and dragging the things around the screen. Tap the hotdogs to grill them and tap the buns to put them on the counter. Once done, you can drag the hotdogs and place them inside the buns. You can also add ketchup or mustard to your hotdogs. In further levels, you will also need to cook burgers, fries, and a lot more.

The Speed Mode lets you play a single round. This mode will test how fast you can serve your customers. You will have to be really quick and score as many points as possible within a given time limit.

Serve people by serving yummy hotdogs with Clinton Burger Stand.

Cupcake Stand HD FREE

Bake cupcakes and make children happy with the Cupcake Stand HD FREE app. Your task will be to create cupcakes for the kids and reach your daily quota. Your customers are also picky, so make sure to make the cupcake color, filling, and design are the same as what your customers order.

The game lets you manage a cupcake stand. Your task will be to make the cupcakes by following the orders of your customers. You can top your cupcakes with chocolate cream, cherries, choco sticks, and a lot more. Make your cupcakes fast to earn big tips from your customers. Challenge yourself with the app’s unlimited stage mode.

There are also some instances that the green Bug Droid will visit your stall. That robot is really picky and you will need to create 5 different cupcakes and place them on the cupcake stand. You also need to place the cupcakes in their designated places.

Manage your own cupcake stand with the Cupcake Stand HD FREE app.

Ice Cream Now-Cooking Game

Another perfect cooking game for your kids is the Ice Cream Now-Cooking Game app. This app lets you create and design your own virtual ice cream on your Android device.

The app features a variety of choices to design and create your own ice cream. You can create ice cream in a cone or put it on a plate. You can also choose different decorations to design your ice cream. I was able to create my two personalized virtual ice cream. One was a chocolate and mocha ice cream with colorful candies. I call that ice cream the Omnom Candy Delight. The other one was a healthier variety. It was a strawberry and mango ice cream, topped and decorated with a variety of fruits. I call this the Toothy Fruity Deluxe.

This app could entertain and stimulate the creativity of your kids. Adults can even use this app to experiment and buy the ingredient to make their virtual ice cream into real desserts. Watch for Omnom Candy Delight and Fruity Toothy Deluxe at stores near you.
