Samsung Galaxy S III to sport a 4.8 inch screen?

Fear not dear readers, the launch of the Galaxy S III is only 4 days away, and finally the rumours will stop. Until then though, expect the excitement to reach fever pitch for what is beyond doubt the most hotly anticipated Android phone of all time. I seem to be reporting a lot of leaks, rumours and would be exclusives and it looks like today is no different.

The good folks over at Know Your Mobile received the above image, proclaiming to be the Galaxy S III, from an anonymous tipster. What perhaps makes this latest leak a little more interesting than some of the others is that the phone is pictured measured up against a ruler showing that the device measures 130mm and the screen 4.8 inches. The design of the phone in this image looks like a cross between the Galaxy Nexus and the Galaxy S II, not necessarily a bad thing I hasten to add! Aside from the visible hardware home button, there’s not much else can be taken from the still.

The good news is that there’s only a few more days of drama before the next Galaxy is finally revealed to the world. Perhaps we’ll have the first “official” leak of the Galaxy S 4 by the following weekend!

LG Optimus True HD LTE Expanding Reach To More Countries

The really-long-named LG Optimus True HD LTE has already launched in Korea, Japan, the U.S. and Canada. LG is now expanding the reach of this device to Germany, Portugal, Sweden, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

The handset includes a 4.5-inch 1280 x 720 True HD IPS display, 8MP camera, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Wait. What? Yes, the LG Optimus True HD LTE will arrive without the latest version of Android, though an update to Android 4.0 will be coming sometime in the future.

Sprint Galaxy Nexus 3G Connection Issues To See Software Fix Soon

Sprint has launched their version of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus before fully rolling out their LTE network. This means that users of the device have to depend on Sprint’s 3G EV-DO network for data when not near a Wi-Fi connection. Unfortunately, it seems some customers are complaining that their Galaxy Nexus handsets are not able to attain a reliable 3G connection.

Some customers that have exchanged their phones for a new one are claiming successful 3G connections, so it seems that there’s either a bad batch of phones out there, or there’s some other reason why some specific phones are problematic. Whatever the reason is, it seems that Sprint and Samsung are aware of the issue and will be providing a software fix soon. A Sprint employee posted the following in the Sprint community forums:

Sprint/Samsung are aware of this problem and will be releasing a software update to resolve the issue.   Can’t commit to a date yet, but they are trying really hard to get it released early next week.  Sorry for your troubles.

So there you have it. If you’re experiencing 3G connectivity issues, you can either try your luck by exchanging your device, or wait just a little longer for the fix to arrive.
