Mystery LG phone poses for photos, has no physical buttons – may be Optimus G2

Posted: 06 May 2013 08:59 AM PDT

Evleaks, one of the top online providers of leaked phone pictures, has released a leaked photo of a new LG mystery device. The device was shown off on Facebook, and shows off a spartan front face, with no physical buttons to be seen at the bottom – only an LG logo. The front has a curved glass look, as well as a strange-looking, reflective earpiece up top. Many are speculating this to be the Optimus G2, but there’s no solid evidence for that yet.

Posted: 06 May 2013 08:13 AM PDT

In keeping their ever-popular Galaxy line fully stocked, Samsung has announced the new Galaxy Core, a mid-level device. The Core sports:

  • 1.2GHz dual-core CPU
  • 4.3-inch WVGA screen
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 8GB internal storage
  • 1800mAh battery
  • 5-megapixel rear camera
  • Android 4.1
  • TouchWiz Nature UI
  • Dual-SIM option

The phone looks and feels a lot like a shrunken down Galaxy S3, complete with all of Samsung’s proprietary apps. Samsung also says that the phone will come with the aforementioned dual-SIM option from May, but that a single-SIM version will be available from July, depending on the markets – which it still isn’t clear which ones will be getting the core. be sure to keep it at Android Guys to find out where the Core will be released, and let us know what you think in the comments.
