3d-wallpaper

So, you really like that new fancy layered background for Apple’s iOS, do you? I mean, what’s not to adore? You can move your phone to make it look like there’s space between your wallpaper and the icons.  Super new and innovative right? Hardly.  You can get that look for your Android device today and it’s only gonna cost you $1.60 in the process.

It’s like magic distilled from squeezed rainbow unicorn ponies sandwiched between glass and metal. – – Gizmodo on the parallax effect

Called 3D Image Live Wallpaper, it’s actually been around quite a while and has racked up a rather impressive number of downloads – especially for a paid live wallpaper. With this app you can set any image you want as your background and then give the illusion that there are layers on the desktop experience.

We’ve played with it a few times in the past and have come to appreciate the minor updates along the way. You can pick and choose how sensitive things are, what degree of movement happens, and more.

See how it works on Android…

Indeed, this one works on Android 2.3 and above so pretty much everyone out there.

Anyone planning on picking one up when they become available? Let us know below!

Thanks to TechTastic and SamMobile for the photos and information!

A few images of the rumored Samsung Galaxy Note 3 have surfaced, giving us a glimpse at what we might expect for the upcoming smartphone. First found on SamMobile and TechTastic, the extra-big handset appears to feature a more square shoulder and thinner bezel than previous models. Of course it’s entirely possible that the device pictured here is in a shell or could be an unfinished design.

Among the rumors for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 are a 5.99-inch Super AMOLED display, 13-megapixel camera, octa-core Exynos or Snapdragon 800 processor.Naturally, the phone should feature the S Pen stylus and we’d hope for Android 4.2.2 or later with Samsung's Touch-Wiz Nature UX.

Samsung is prepping its largest tablet to date and plans to release it later this year, according to ETNews. How big, you ask? Oh, just a 12.2-inch 2560×1600 display, that’s all.

Reportedly, the tablet will include Samsung’s S-Pen stylus and may feature an Intel processor. Unfortunately there were no other details as of yet. With that in mind, we’re somewhat anxious to learn more about a rumored Galaxy Note 12.2.

Samsung, for its part, is said to be readying this tablet for release before Apple introduces its next generation of iPad tablet. Summarily, we should look for it in the third quarter.

Sketch of rumored HTC T6 reveals an extra-large HTC One form factor

Not that we’re surprised by this but the sketch of the purported extra-large HTC T6 is online and it appears to be a bigger take on the HTC One form factor.

First posted on MobileLeaks, the design suggests that somehow HTC will be able to squeeze in a 5.9-inch display by only adding 3mm of length to the HTC One body. Yeah, if that sounds tough to imagine, you’re not alone. Nevertheless, the render keeps the aesthetics of the HTC One and the rumored HTC One Mini.

Really, it’s not so much about how the rumored T6 looks as it is about what’s under the hood. Early specifications call for a 5.9-inch 1080p HD display, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor (2.3GHz), a 3300 mAh battery, the UltraPixel camera and BoomSound touches, and all of the other HTC Sense 5 goodies.

We could still be a ways off from seeing the T6 arrive, however we’re getting more excited by the week.  Do you guys think HTC can make a dent in the extra-large form factor area or is this Samsung’s market to lose as well?
