htc one coming to verizon

So you got a new HTC One? Congrats! It has a beautiful 1080p display, and it’d be terrible if anything were to happen to it. Putting the device in the same pocket as your keys could very well damage the screen. Why not prevent that from happening by picking up a good screen protector, though?

We’ve got the three best screen protectors for the HTC One, and we’re going to show you how to install them! In a rush? Jump straight to the video, otherwise, stick with us as we take a closer look at these three awesome screen protectors.

Screenwear Screen Protector

These are more classic screen protectors, in the sense that they do not use any application gel or fluid. Instead, we have a nice, adhesive back. Now, the package comes with five screen protectors, a cleaning cloth, and a card stock to help you smooth out air bubbles. You really get your monies worth here.

The first step to applying the Screenwear screen protectors is using the cleaning cloth to get any dust off your HTC One so it doesn’t get on the screen protector. After that, peel off one side of the screen protector, and then corner it on your HTC One to get a clean and smooth install.

After that, simply use your card stock to smooth out any air bubbles. Once that’s complete, you can remove the second layer of plastic, and if any air bubbles form during that, simply use the card stock again. It looks really nice on the HTC One, and offers a lot of protection. For example, if you put your keys in the same pocket as your phone, the Screenwear screen protector should prevent any of those scratches from damaging your actual screen.

Bodyguardz UltraTough Screen Protector

This is a wet application screen protector with a whole list of features. It comes with application gel, a card stock, a cleaning cloth, and two screen protectors. The first step to applying this screen protector is turning your device off, as you don’t want to be working with the solution while your device is on, for obvious reasons.

Next, you want to take the cleaning cloth and thoroughly make sure there isn’t any lingering dust or smudges. You should have clean hands during the process of applying the screen protector, too. Next, simple remove the white backing of the the screen protector, revealing the adhesive side of it. Now, this can be installed dry, but more streaking occurs without the application gel.

So, open up up your application gel, and add a few drops onto the screen protector, but don’t go overboard. After doing that, simply use your finger to spread it around or some other, soft tool. Next, line up the screen protector with the HTC One’s display and apply it. It doesn’t have to be perfect, as the application gel lets you move it around a bit.

After that, use your finger and card stock to get rid of the air bubbles and streaks under the screen protector. Once that step is completed, just remove the top piece of plastic, and you should be good to go!

Zagg InvisibleShield

Finally, we have the Zagg InvisibleShield. It comes with the screen protector, a squeegee, cleaning cloths, and application solution. To install, power done your HTC One, as this is a wet application screen protector. After that, the first step is to put the application solution on your fingers so the screen protector does not adhere to your fingers. Then, peel the screen protector off of its plastic backing and apply the solution to that, as well.

Just like the bodyguard, place the screen protector on the face of your HTC One. Again, you don’t have to get it perfect right away, as you can slowly move it around, thanks to the application solution. Once in place, use the included squeegee to get the air bubbles and solution out. Make sure you wipe up the solution with the included cleaning cloth so none of it gets on your device.

The InvisibleShield was really fun to install because the air bubbles and solution were easier to get out than the previous screen guards. Next, you can apply the film to the back of your HTC One. It works the same, but it’s a bit trickier to install, so you want to take your time.

Wrap up

While you may not need a screen protector, it does add an extra layer of protection to your device that is practically unnoticeable. A case is a nice safeguard for accidentally dropping the device, but in some cases, a screen protector will work just as well. While it’s not a guarantee to protect from any falls, it’ll definitely keep your screen scratch-free, and may even prevent shattering!

We’d like to give a huge shout out to the guys at MobileFun for providing these screen protectors. You can find all of their screen protectors for the HTC One here. So, what screen protector do you plan to use on your HTC One? Let us know in the comments!
