Hot on the heels of rumors that Sprint will be announcing a hot new early upgrade program, the folks at the Now Network have announced that 34 new markets are enjoying 4G LTE coverage. The list is quite large, so let’s just roll up our sleeves and hop right into it:

  • Alexandria, La.
  • Longview, Texas
  • Allegan, Mich.
  • Lufkin, Texas
  • Amarillo, Texas
  • Lumberton, N.C.
  • Anniston/Oxford,
  • Ala. Macon, Ga.
  • Bay City, Mich.
  • Marshfield/Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.
  • Beaumont/Port Arthur, Texas
  • Midland, Texas
  • Bedford, Pa.
  • Monroe, Mich.
  • Corpus Christi, Texas
  • Montgomery, Ala.
  • Del Rio, Texas
  • Muskogee, Okla.
  • Enid, Okla.
  • Oklahoma City
  • Fort Atkinson, Wis.
  • Ruston, La.
  • Greenville, Miss.
  • Salem, Ore.
  • Houma/Bayou Cane/Thibodaux, La.
  • San Angelo, Texas
  • Juniata and Mifflin counties, Pa.
  • Sheboygan, Wis.
  • Kinston, N.C.
  • Stillwater, Okla.
  • Lake Charles, La.
  • Victoria, Texas
  • Lawton, Okla.
  • Whitewater, Wis.

This is a significant list with a lot of significant cities, so we sure to look it over and see if your area of residence has finally been drenched in the high data speeds LTE provides.

Sprint’s goal is to get a majority of their 3G coverage up and running with 4G LTE by year’s end, and if this is the pace we can look forward to over the next few months it doesn’t sound like they’ll have much of a problem achieving that. Let’s hope new ownership by Softbank continues to give them the confidence they need to not only hit those launches in a timely manner, but scale up over the months and years to come.
