| Firefox for Android to come preinstalled on some new devices Nov 8th 2013, 03:21, by Juan Carlos Torres To further its efforts to bring its own brand of web browsing experience to more mobile users, Mozilla has partnered with some device manufacturers to put its browser right on their devices by default. In particular, Firefox for Android will be riding on the new Kobo Arc tablets as well as the Gigabyte’s upcoming smartphone, the GSmart Simba SX1. 
Yesterday, Gigabyte announced its GSmart Simba SX1, which not only sports a dual SIM configuration but also boasts of the distinction of being the world’s first smartphone with a built-in three-way talking feature. This will allow users to put an on-going conversation on hold and invite another incoming call into a conference, without a special app or carrier arrangement. The smartphone is powered by a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor and runs Android 4.2. It also possesses a rather peculiar Stand Capture feature that will automatically shoot images when the phone is kept standing. Kobo, on the other hand, unveiled its new tablet lineup last August. The beginner-level Kobo Arc 7 runs on a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek chip and sports a 7-inch 1024×600 screen. The Kobo Arc 7HD has the same size but increases the resolution to 1920×1200 pixels as well as replacing the processor with a more powerful NVIDIA Tegra 3 chip. Last, but definitely not the least, the Kobo Arc 10HD tops the list with a 10-inch screen boasting of a 2560×1600 display resolution and 1.8 GHz quad-core NDIVIA Tegra 4 processor. All of these new Kobo Arc tablets run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. Firefox may have a strong foothold on the desktop space, but it faces a good amount of competition on Android, which has a natural affinity for the Chrome web browser that is also developed by Google. On Android, Firefox offers features such as Reader, which presents a clean and distraction-free way to read web content without ads, and Reading List for offline reading of saved pages. Ubisoft’s Rayman Fiesta Run will have you speeding through a variety of wildly colorful maps, jumping on giant limes, and punching the heck out of piñatas. 
Ubisoft teased its upcoming fall lineup in September that consisted of two humor-filled games, both from the Rayman universe. The antics of the somewhat deranged rabbits arrived first last month in the new title, Rabbids Big Bang. Rayman’s next adventure, however, was promised to still come on November 7 and, indeed, it has sprinted into life today. Like its predecessor, Rayman Jungle Run, Fiesta Run is a side-scrolling 2D running game that puts the iconic Rayman, whose head, hands and feet are inexplicably kept linked to his body despite the absence of limbs, in a festive world full of giant-sized food and, of course, monsters. Players get to guide Rayman through more than 75 levels and past 3 new epic bosses to reach the Island of the Livid Dead. The game features a certain amount of social networking similar to those found in the popular Candy Crush Saga game, where players can keep track of their friends on the world map and boast of their achievements on Facebook. Rayman Fiesta Run can be yours on Google Play Store for $2.99 and is available in a variety of languages including English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, and more. Also, despite the social networking features, Ubisoft notes that the game doesn’t need a WiFi connection, except, of course, for the initial download. Download: Rayman Fiesta Run on Google Play Store | | MotoMaker headed to Verizon November 11 Nov 8th 2013, 02:06, by Juan Carlos Torres It seems that things are finally looking good for those on Verizon‘s network who are still holding out for a customized Motorola Moto X. Not only has the smartphone become cheaper, but, if this latest tip is to believed, the MotoMaker customization tool will finally be coming to Big Red on Monday. 
When Motorola‘s fascinating and impressive flagship launched early August, there was a special preference for AT&T. Sure, the smartphone was available on other carriers as well, but only AT&T subscribers had initial access to the the MotoMaker customization tool that added to the Moto X’s appeal. Other carriers were left with the stock black or white models. Verizon had to assure their customers that MotoMaker would be available, but only left a vague “later this year” target. Now it seems that the wait will finally be over. There was already some talk that MotoMaker will be available on November 11 and now multiple sources are confirming that date as well. At the moment, there is no word if there will be some special offer or new customization options available at launch. Maybe we’ll finally get to see the much teased wooden back covers on the list. The price for MotoMaker-customized devices is expected to adopt the new Moto X pricing scheme. Just yesterday, Verizon finally slashed the price of the smartphone in line last month’s price cut which puts the Moto X at $99 on a two year contract, or $499.99 for the full price.
