The Samsung Galaxy Note has been around for a while now, the device really doesn't need a special introduction. It's a superb device from what I can tell. It seems that Canadian carriers are impressed with this amazing device as well. Today Rogers, Bell and Telus, the three major networks of Canada officially launched the Galaxy Note and it's now available for purchase. If you are interested, you can get your hands on it by signing a 3-year contract for $199.99 or just get it without contract starting from $699 – $779.
About the specs, it comes with Android OS 2.3.6 Gingerbread with TouchWIZ, and we heard that it will receive Android 4.0 update somewhere in March. Other things under the hood are a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor, 5.3 inch 1280 x 800 with Gorilla Glass, and it's a LTE enabled device.
If you live in Canada and are looking for one of the best Samsung devices, then don't forget to try this on. Are you sold? Tell us in the comment box below.

We have seen Samsung's high end phones like the Galaxy S II, Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy Note, but for some people they cost an arm or a leg. For such people, Samsung has a special phone known as the Galaxy Mini, which was launched last year. A few days ago, we showed you its successor, named as Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 along with it's specifications. Samsung is planning to announce it at the Mobile World Congress later this month. However, the device was spotted at FCC with 850 and 1900 GSM/GPRS/EDGE radios, which means it will run AT&T 3G network and T-Mobile's edge network only.
Such phones are considered most by students on a budget. If AT&T launches it, I am sure they will offer it with a cheap contract and a good package, or you would be able to get the phone from an online retailer e.g. NewEgg. Anyway, we just can't say that it's coming to the American shore side because not every FCC item hit's US, so it's better to wait for the official announcement.
But if it hits USA, are you going to pick one? Tell us in the comment box below.

Huawei rocked the CES 2012 show by launching the world's thinnest smartphone at only 6.68 mm thin. It's known as Ascend P1, of course it's an amazing looking device and hopefully it will hit US sometime soon. We also informed you that Huawei will reveal their "Diamond" series at the Mobile World Congress later this month, and now the word on the street is the first Diamond series device will be known as Ascend D1 Q. The "Q" means it will be the first ever Huawei device to come with a quad-core processor. It will also run Android v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Huawei is also planning to launch the MediaPad 10 as well, the 10 inch successor to MediaPad 7. Here you can also expect a quad-core processor and ICS. Let's wait for the MWC where Huawei will reveal every single detail about the two upcoming devices.
Any Huawei fanatics out there? If yes then please share your thoughts with us in the comment box below.

Sprint's version of the Samsung Galaxy SII always seems to be left in the dark. Whether it's official updates from Sprint or Samsung, there is hardly ever any mention of it. Samsung has tried convincing us in the past regarding their efforts to speed up this process of sending updates to its customers. While we've yet to see any real timely updates thus far, we continue to purchase these devices. After 5 months, Samsung claims to have sold over 10million of these Galaxy SII devices worldwide.
We've seen Sammy tell everyone that the international SGSII will get ICS in March. We've yet to receive "official" news regarding the E4GT, but someone from XDA found a neat little snippet buried inside Sprint's website. Credit goes to kc_exactly, the XDA member who found this.

There is a bunch of discussion at his thread on XDA. As you can see, it shows a build number of FB10 which we believe to be ICS v4.0.3. It's exciting new to say the least.

This Valentine's Day marks the launch of the latest trade-in program at Verizon Wireless. Encouraging its customers to "save the planet", Big Red is allowing eligible customers to redeem their old handsets for gift cards to use at the Verizon store.
Instantly redeemable gift cards can be used in store to purchase a new phone, tablet or other accessory. Also, you can use the gift card towards your bill. A representative will need to give a quick evaluation of the device and its condition.  Depending on the make, model and condition you could receive up to $300.
"We recognize that customers want to get all of the value they can from the devices they've already purchased," said Robert Miller, vice president of marketing, Verizon Wireless. "Verizon Wireless' In Store Trade-In Program is a great way to give them that value."
Perhaps you are more in the giving mood, or maybe VZW doesn't value your handset enough to make a difference, you could always donate your device to the Verizon HopeLine campaign.
Individuals also can donate their no-longer-used cell phones to the long-running HopeLine® from Verizon program, which collects wireless devices and accessories to support victims of domestic violence. Since the October 2001 launch of the national cell phone recycling program, HopeLine has collected more than 9 million phones, distributed more than 123,000 phones with the equivalent of 406 million airtime minutes to victims of domestic violence, and awarded more than $14 million in cash grants to organizations working to prevent domestic violence. In addition, HopeLine from Verizon has properly disposed of more than 1.7 million no-longer-used wireless phones in an environmentally sound way and kept more than 210 tons of electronic waste and batteries out of landfills.

Love the idea of playing official Playstation titles on your Android smartphone but don't want to buy a Sony Ericsson phone?  Maybe you've been an HTC fanboy since the days of the T-Mobile G1 and have serious brand loyalty.  Well, good news for you - HTC is rumored to be getting Playstation certification for select models of Android smartphones.
Should the details prove to be legit, we don't expect to see existing models pick up the certification. Rather, we suppose this would be one of the hot selling point for a new smartphone or tablet. The HTC Endeavor and Quattro, would be our guess as the first devices to offer access to Sony's game library as both are expected to boast quad-core processors. Of course, the HTC Ville and that new Droid Incredible-like model should have enough power to handle PlayStation One games. Each of those are considerably more beastly than the Xperia Play and those worked just fine.
We'll be watching the news out of both the Sony and HTC camp over the next few weeks and will be happy to share what we learn!

Images of a new Motorola handset has landed online just days before Mobile World Congress, giving us our initial look at the company's first smartphone powered by an Intel processor. Details are rather light at this point, but word is that the camera will be one of the key features in the device and should feature 15fps burst capture and instant-on.
Looking at the image we can see this is an obvious Android 4.0 device as there are no hard buttons in sight. What's more, the user interface has been changed a bit, perhaps with a new Motoblur influenced by Ice Cream Sandwich. It appears that there is a physical camera button along the side but that's not anything revolutionary. In terms of overall design, the phone has shed the angular corners of most 2011 models and even looks a bit T-Mobile G2-like below the display.

As some of you may know, Motorola typically taps Texas Instruments for the processors in their Android smartphones. It will be interesting to see what level of performance an Intel-powered (Medfield) device provides and whether or not the benchmarks can stand shoulder to shoulder with other top Androids.
There's plenty of time between now and Mobile World Congress for more leaks to spring up so don't be surprised if we learn more in the coming days.
