DyzPlatic has announced their latest series of their miniature collectible Androids, and we just can't wait. there have been some delays in getting the collectibles to consumer hands by end of Q2 (before the end of June), but the company has announced that they are still hopeful to get them to customers by the beginning of July.

According to DyzPlastic:

"...the improvements we've made equaled slightly longer prototyping manufacturing time. Despite things being pushed back a bit, I think everyone will be pleased with the results."

New FCC deal with Mexico could help Sprint

Posted: 09 Jun 2012 07:01 AM PDT

Yesterday, the FCC announced that a new deal had been struck: the u.S. State Department had come to an agreement with the Mexican government over the use of various spectrum bands. The agreement mostly deals in assigning bands within the 800MHz block to public safety agencies to prevent interference between U.S. and Mexican agencies, but also covers the 1900MHz band. the 1900 band allows Sprint to deploy CDMA service along the border, which will increase coverage to customers in that area.

Blurrycam and Clearshot pictures of the LG “Snapshot” LS730 leak

Posted: 09 Jun 2012 06:47 AM PDT

A source of BriefMobile has leaked some images of a new device from LG, headed to Sprint. The "Snapshot" (how appropriate), also known as the LG LS730, should be coming out in the last quarter of 2012. The device is a standard design, with a square body, physical home button, and - from what we can tell - metal bands along the sides.

The phone is considered low end for sure, missing not only NFC and LTE, but even WiMax, Sprint's now-considered redheaded stepchild of 4G. It does, however, com with:

  • 5MP camera
  • MicroSD expansion slot
  • WVGA display
  • 768MB of RAM
  • 4GB of ROM
  • Qualcomm MSM8655 CPU
  • Adreno 205 GPU
  • VGA front-facing camera
  • 1700mAh removable battery

The source confirmed not only the lack of 4G, but also the 8.8mm frame. As stated before, this is a low end device, probably heading to Sprint - however, we could also see it for Virgin or Boost.
