T-Mobile also schedules an October 29 event

Posted: 19 Oct 2012 01:30 PM PDT

Well, this is certainly interesting.  T-Mobile is in the midst of sending out invitations to an event being held on October 29 in New York.  It just so happens that this is the same city and day that Google has scheduled its own press event.  Now, we’re not saying that the two are tied together, but it would definitely make sense.  Considering T-Mobile’s past history of supporting Nexus devices and Android at large, this would be a perfect venue to announce a T-Mobile Nexus 4

Early Nexus 10 details seemingly confirmed via Picasa

Posted: 19 Oct 2012 11:18 AM PDT

A photo which was recently posted to Picasa seems to confirm the rumors of a Samsung super tablet with a resolution of 2560×1920.  Said to be running software version JVP12C, the so-called Nexus 10 is the model that should come with a 10.1-inch display.  As of right now there are no other details to glean from the image, however the recent spate of leaks seem to be gathering steam.  Maybe there’s more right around the corner?

Yet more confirmation of Nexus 4 surfaces

Posted: 19 Oct 2012 10:55 AM PDT

As if we needed any more confirmation of the rumored Nexus 4, the handset has been given one more round of leaks.  The increasingly accurate @evleaks  has pegged the E960 device with a quad-core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 APQ8064 processor, a 4.7-inch (1280X768) display, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 2GB RAM, and 2100mAh battery.  Powered by Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the Nexus 4 will come with either 8GB or 16GB internal storage and should come in at 9.1mm thick.

Presumably, an 8GB version of the handset will be able to keep pricing down for an unlocked model.  Our hope is that there is something that comes in with a $299 sticker and the ability to use on either AT&T or T-Mobile.

There’s a little over a week before this all becomes official so don’t be surprised if there’s plenty of leaks ahead.

Sprint, in an attempt to get an Android in the hands of every grandparent in the country, has released a new ID Pack aimed at seniors.  OK, so maybe it’s not part of some massively ambitious initiative, but it’s still a great way of putting relevant and helpful apps and services in front of senior citizens.
