Polaroid will be announcing an Android powered camera during CES

Posted: 20 Dec 2012 11:02 AM PST

Well, it looks like Polaroid will soon be joining the likes of Samsung and Nikon with an Android powered camera of their own. The Polaroid camera is the IM1836 that we mentioned the other day. The key here, Polaroid CEO Scott Hardy has recently confirmed that the camera will be unveiled during CES.

polaroid-im1836-andorid-camera

Hardy, in speaking with Imaging Resource, stated that “there will be an Android powered, interchangeable lens camera introduced by Polaroid at CES 2013.” Of course, aside from the fact that the camera will have an interchangeable lens and be powered by Android — the remaining details remain rumor.

In fact, Hardy went on to say that “additional information and specs will be released during the show.” Simply put, it looks like we are going to be waiting to CES for further details. As to what was previously rumored, the Polaroid IM1836 is expected to feature an 18.1 megapixel sensor along with a 3.5-inch display, microSD card slot for storage, HDMI and Wi-Fi.

The Polaroid camera is expected to be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and have a pop-up flash, headphone out jack and features to include blink detection and the ability to capture panorama images. Bottom line here, unless we see some other leaks in the meantime, the remaining details will be unveiled in a little more than two weeks time.

Verizon turns on 4G LTE in 29 new markets

Posted: 20 Dec 2012 10:52 AM PST

We’ve been talking a lot about AT&T‘s aggressive 4G LTE roll out lately, but today it’s Verizon‘s turn. The nation’s largest carrier announced today that it has launched 4G LTE service in a whopping 29 markets, bringing the total number of LTE markets up to an absurd 470. At last check, AT&T had just under 200 markets where LTE service was up and running, so Verizon has quite a large lead on the other carriers in the US.

Screen-Shot-2012-12-20-at-12.15.18-PM-580x389

As you can see from the image above, Verizon has 4G LTE up and running in many areas across the country, covering every state in the continental US. The number of 4G LTE markets is dwarfed by Verizon’s 3G coverage area, though there are still a significant amount of locations in the continental US without any 3G or 4G coverage to speak of. In any case, Verizon is definitely hitting the 4G LTE scene hard, recently saying that it should finish its roll out by mid-2013.

Good thing too, because in its announcement today, Verizon pointed to a report from eMarketer that claims the average consumer spends 80 minutes per day using their phone to do things like browse the web, check their social networks, and play games. Obviously, mobile Internet is required for all of that, and in today’s always-on society, the faster those mobile Internet speeds are, the better.

Verizon didn’t name all of these new markets in its announcement, but did says that it has 4G LTE up and running in Selma, AL; Clarksburg, WV; and Port Angeles, WA. Making today even sweeter, the carrier is also expanding 4G LTE service in 36 additional markets, so a large number of people can look forward to faster mobile Internet speeds moving forward. We’ll undoubtedly be talking more about Verizon’s 4G LTE expansion in the coming days and weeks, so keep it tuned here to Android Community for more details.

Archos Video Player app now available for those running ICS or later

Posted: 20 Dec 2012 10:17 AM PST

Archos has officially released their Video Player app into Google Play. The app is being touted as the”critically acclaimed ARCHOS Video player” and with the promise of it being able to deliver an “uncompromised multimedia experience.” Fancy sounding chatter aside though, the Archos Video Player app is now available for non-Archos branded tablets.

archos-video-player-banner

The app has been released as version 6.0.16 and will also run on smartphones. The one catch, the app requires Android 4.0.3 ICS or later for use. Otherwise, the other catch that we see comes in with the price. Archos is charging $4.99. Whether or not you will be willing to shell out the $5 purchase price will have to be left up to you to decide.

And here to help, lets talk features of the app. The Archos Video Player app has hardware accelerated video decoding support for “most devices and video formats.” The app also has the ability to play content from other computers/storage devices on your local network as well as playing content from a USB storage device.

Otherwise, some of the other highlights includes automatic online retrieval of Movie and TV show information, an integrated subtitle downloader, network indexing, video browsing with either folder or library based navigation and television shows that are sorted in a series/season/episode hierarchical view. All said and done, despite the $5 purchase price, the Archos Video Player app looks like one to consider, especially if you are looking to play videos streaming from other local devices.

NFL Mobile updated with tablet support and postseason details

Posted: 20 Dec 2012 10:15 AM PST

For all the NFL fans out there that happen to be on Verizon Wireless we have some good news today. After what feels like years of waiting the official NFL Mobile app now supports Android tablets. Today Verizon has updated their excellent NFL Mobile app with a slew of new features for the Playoffs, as well as a revamped UI tailored for Android tablets.

nfl

Just in time Verizon has updated NFL Mobile with tons of new features, schedules, and details regarding everyone’s favorite time of the year. I’m not talking about the holidays. I’m talking about Playoffs. Playoffs! The app finally support Android tablets now, although they’ll only be ones exclusively carried by Verizon. Post season schedules have been added, Live video of select playoff games, championship games, the Pro Bowl, and of course the SuperBowl where my boys from Green Bay will be winning!

nfltablet

As usual NFL Mobile offers live audio coverage of all post season games as well as the SuperBowl. Sadly however, their app only works on Verizon devices, and that includes tablets. This means everyone with a Nexus 7 (or other tablets) won’t be able to sign in and enjoy this on their tablet, it has to be a Verizon-branded tablet. I’m the customer, not my tablet. Sure would be nice if we could sign into our Verizon account on any Android tablet — that would make sense.

As you can see above the Android tablet user interface is pretty decent. They’ve spread out all the information in a nice manor, and all the game scores are nicely laid out below for those watching the rest of the league or division. For those rocking Verizon, head to the Google Play Store and get the latest NFL Mobile right now.

SwiftKey 3.1 update brings a new theme with some fixes and improvements

Posted: 20 Dec 2012 09:36 AM PST

The latest SwiftKey update has landed in Google Play. This update arrives as v3.1.0.377 and is available in both the smartphone and tablet versions of the app. As for the changes and additions, it looks like a new theme and some new languages as well as some fixes and improvements.

unnamed

Beginning first with the theme, SwiftKey 3.1 brings the Berry theme and the additional language support brings Armenian, Azerbaijani, Georgian, Hindi, Hinglish, Irish, Macedonian, Spanish (Latin America) and Tagalog. Moving past the languages and into the fixes and there was the general sounding “fixes for some force close issues.”

SwiftKey 3.1 also added a split-keyboard for ‘normal’ sized devices. And last in terms of this update, the improvements deal with language pack downloads and key layouts for some keyboards. All said and done, a seemingly worthwhile update, especially if any of these issues were causing you trouble.

Otherwise, we should also point out that SwiftKey 3 is still available at a discounted price. This includes the smartphone and tablet versions and means a 50 percent discount. Simply put, both the smartphone and tablet versions of SwiftKey 3 are currently selling for $1.99.

Amazon Mobile app now includes push notification alerts for your orders

Posted: 20 Dec 2012 09:09 AM PST

Those using a device with Google Now are fortunate enough to be able to have easy access to details on any incoming shipments, however those not rocking Jelly Bean are missing out. And while this is not exactly the same, Amazon has recently updated the Amazon Mobile app to include push notifications for your orders.

amazon-mobile-app

These new push notifications come as part of the v2.2.4 Amazon Mobile for Android app update which is now available in the Google Play Store. The notifications will offer details for when your package ships and when it's delivered. You can also get notifications for the lightning deals.

Those looking to set-up the notifications will need to make sure they are signed into the app and have the Shipment Notifications setting showing with a green checkmark. This can be found by navigating to Menu -> More -> Notifications. One note on the notifications though, these require you to be running Android 2.2 or later.

Otherwise, aside from the addition of notifications, Amazon has also fixed a bug and made some improvements dealing with the friends and family member's wish lists. The bug fix dealt with the crashing issue that was preventing the app to open on “some phones.” And as for the wish lists, Amazon has made it easier for your to search, view and shop from those lists as well as bookmark them for easy reference. In other words, Amazon has made it easier for you to spend money using the app.

Acer Iconia B1 tablet looks to challenge Google on price and B&N on design

Posted: 20 Dec 2012 08:36 AM PST

A new Acer branded tablet has recently made a stopover with the FCC. The tablet is the Iconia B1 and while there are still some unanswered questions, this one is not looking like it will make all that big of a splash in the geek crowd. The tablet is said to be running Jelly Bean, however that seems to be one of the few highlights.

acer-jpg

That being said, the tablet, at least based in part on these FCC sketches, appears to have a design similar to that of the Barnes & Noble Nook. Notice the little loop in the lower left hand corner. The specs that have been revealed include a 7-inch display at 1024 x 600 along with a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 512MB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The one plus to balance out the 8GB of storage is that there will be a microSD card slot.

Other details include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. In terms of Jelly Bean, it is looking like the Iconia B1 will launch with 4.1.2. There was not much mentioned in the FCC filing about cellular connectivity, however given the diagram is showing a SIM cover, one can only assume that you will have some ability there.

acer-iconia-b1-jpg

In addition to the FCC filing, the tablet was previously spotted in a GLBenchmark leak and was shown with some less than stellar results. Bottom line here, we are not all that excited about the possibility of a release here, but assuming the price is low enough, maybe say sub-$100 — there may be a market. Still, while we poke fun, this may not be a bad option if you are looking for something the kids can play around with. But again, that is assuming the price is low enough.

Flipboard app update brings proper support for Android tablets

Posted: 20 Dec 2012 07:51 AM PST

Flipboard for Android has come a long way since it originally launched as a Galaxy S3 exclusive. Except despite the app moving past that exclusivity period and into the Google Play Store, there was one bit that remained missing — support for Android tablets. But on that note, it looks like that support has arrived.

flipboard-tablet-landscape

An updated release of Flipboard has landed in Google Play and it brings support for 10-inch Android tablets, as well as improved support for 7-inch devices such as the Nexus 7. Simply put, those with a 10-inch Android tablet will now be able to use Flipboard without having to sideload an APK file. And for those rocking a 7-inch tablet, as the previous release of Flipboard was a scaled up smartphone app, you should notice some improvement.

In addition to grabbing this update from Google Play, Flipboard is also available for the Kindle Fire and Nook. Those apps can be downloaded from the respective app stores. Of course, regardless of where you choose to download the app — it is available for free. Samsung will also be pushing the app to 10-inch tablet owners in an upcoming software update.

flipboard-tablet-portrait

Also worth noting, if you were using the Flipboard app on a 7-inch tablet and were happy with the version you were running, you will be able to keep using the app in smartphone mode. Those looking to do this will need to head into the settings and switch things back using the option for “application mode.” All said and done, with this update it looks like Flipboard has filled a piece that many were waiting for.

Dragon Mobile app update brings new features including support for Android 2.3

Posted: 20 Dec 2012 07:18 AM PST

Dragon Mobile Assistant launched back in October and at that time, served to replace the Dragon Go! app. Both of these apps were similar, however Dragon Mobile Assistant added new features to bring it more on the level of Google Now and Siri. In fact, the Dragon Mobile app looked rather appealing, but it had one issue — device support.

dragon-mobile-540

You see, when Dragon Mobile Assistant launched it was only available for devices with Android 4.0 or later. The good news today, Nuance has updated the app and that device support has changed. The app now supports devices with Android 2.3.3 or later. And while Gingerbread is feeling dated, it is hard to deny that many are still using it.

Speaking generally in terms of this update. The app has gone up to version 2.0 and it remains available for free. Anyway, while the additional device support was a nice addition, we are happy to see that was not the only change. Nuance has also fixed “several” bugs and added some other new features.

Those additional features come in the form of additional voice support. For example, with Dragon Mobile 2.0 you will now be able to launch third-party applications, play on-device music and even set an alarm. Otherwise, Dragon Mobile has more than 200 content partners along with a Driver Mode which will allow for a hands-free experience while in the car.

Bottom line here, Dragon Mobile looks like a good alternative for those without access to Google Now, or to access from a manufacturer app such as S Voice from Samsung. Those interested in checking out Dragon Mobile Assistant can follow this link to the Google Play Store.

ZTE Avid 4G now available with MetroPCS

Posted: 20 Dec 2012 06:52 AM PST

We had previously seen leaks for the ZTE Avid 4G, however as of today, the handset has come available for purchase. The Avid 4G is available by way of MetroPCS and has landed with a relatively low price of $149.99. And keep in mind, this is a contract-free price.

zte-avid-4g-metropcs

The ZTE Avid 4G brings (as the name would imply), 4G LTE connectivity along with a 4-inch (480 x 800) display and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Other goodies include a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 2.3GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, 1730 mAh battery, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a VGA quality front-facing camera and a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera.

In addition, MetroPCS has the Avid 4G listed as having support for joyn. And for those not familiar with this, joyn is a service that will allow you to “bring your calls and chats to life” by sharing photos, videos and music. Joyn allows for voice calls and messaging and also has features to include real-time status for messages and the ability to see your friends’ availability, location and current status with Contacts Presence.

With that, those interested in checking out the ZTE Avid 4G will be able to do so online, or at any of the MetroPCS retail locations. And along with the $149 purchase price, the handset is eligible for use with the 4G LTE service plans which are priced from $40 and up to $70 per month. MetroPCS is also offering a limited time promotional plan for $55 per month that includes unlimited 4G LTE.

Nexus 7 dock pegged for a December 30 release in the US

Posted: 20 Dec 2012 06:20 AM PST

The Nexus 7 dock first leaked way back at the end of July. Since then we have heard various rumors suggesting a release timeframe with the latest calling for a release this month. And well, assuming the details on this newly discovered product listing prove to be accurate — Nexus 7 users could soon have an official dock.

IMG_295299

Lets clarify this here though, the listing is available by way of B&H Photo and while they will ship outside of the US, the cost of shipping may prohibit this one primarily to those based on the US. That being said, the Asus Nexus 7 dock will be selling for $39.99. According to details coming from the listing, the expected availability date is December 30.

As far as the details go, B&H notes that the dock features a microUSB port and a 3.5mm audio jack. Simply put, this will be a good dock for those looking to charge without having to plug in the cable each time. Or alternatively, for those looking to have the dock hooked up to a set of external speakers. Otherwise, as you can likely see from the above image, this Asus Nexus 7 dock will have your tablet sitting in landscape.

The one shortfall here, the lack of HDMI. We cannot help but think that the addition of an HDMI out would have been nice to share videos on a bigger screen, but maybe Asus and Google have plans for another dock in the future. Regardless though, this is what Asus has offered at the moment. With that, the B&H listing is not yet accepting pre-orders, however if that estimated date holds — we expect that to change sooner rather than later.

CyanogenMod 10.1 Android 4.2 comes to Galaxy Note II

Posted: 19 Dec 2012 03:04 PM PST

For all you owners of the international Galaxy Note, or the new and impressive Galaxy Note II we have some good news this afternoon. The awesome developers behind CyanogenMod have just released CM10.1 for your devices. This brings the latest and greatest Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean to your Note.

cm10-cyanogenmod

Just in time for the holidays they’ve initiated the CM10.1 nightly builds. As you all should know, Nightly builds are considered “stable” enough to release, but the team won’t qualify it as a stable build until they feel it’s ready. Nightly builds are bleeding edge, released nightly, and may have brand new features that won’t fully work. However we’ve been rocking CM10.1 nightlies with no problems for weeks.

For a small idea of what to expect you can see CM10.1 on the Galaxy Nexus here, although things will obviously be different with that 5.5-inch display and quad-core processor in the Note II. The first official CM10.1 nightly builds arrived late last night, and you can get today’s right this minute.

To be specific, they’ve released CM10.1 for multiple devices already but the new ones to the bunch are the Galaxy Note N7000 (international) as well as the Galaxy Note II N7100. Obviously we’ll need to be rooted and such, so head to your favorite developer site for tips and details if you’re not already prepared for a custom ROM. For those who are, start by stopping at Get.CM for the latest builds, and don’t forget those GApps. Give it a try tonight and let us know how it goes.

Flixster update adds new UI for tablets, tosses in a free movie

Posted: 19 Dec 2012 02:00 PM PST

Today the popular Movies by Flixster Android app has received a nice little update bringing some awesome new features to the tablet world. While their app already worked on Android tablets, today we have some full size photo enhancements as well as an improved user interface for all those 10-inch tablets roaming the street. More details below.

unnamed

With more than 10 million downloads it’s no surprise that Flixster is one of the most popular movie apps for Android. Previous updates added HD video previews and more but today it’s more about pictures and the user interface. The developers have improved the fullscreen photo gallery experience, so now you can browse your favorite movie stars in fullscreen mode.

Along with new gallery features we also have an improved and revamped user interface for 10-inch Android tablets — so Flixster should work great with that shiny new Nexus 10. They state improvements to the login via Facebook feature, but don’t mention what was changed. Then as usual the “bug fixes and performance improvements” is listed in the what’s new section.

Along with the update Flixster will be giving away a free movie rental (for streaming) for those who’d like to sign up for their free UltraViolet account option — which is their digital movie service. Then even more free movies if you refer a friend. For more details and to get the latest version of Movies by Flixster head to the Google Play Store and get it today.

Nexus 4 still out-of-stock with T-Mobile but will be free beginning on Friday

Posted: 19 Dec 2012 01:33 PM PST

T-Mobile is no stranger to holiday related sales and it looks like we will soon be seeing one more kicking off. This latest is a “Zero Down Sale” and will begin this coming Friday, which for those without a calendar handy — is December 21. The sale will then run through December 31. Simply put, you have some time to shop.

nexus_hero2-540x3584111

As for what T-Mobile is offering, zero down sales on select smartphones and tablets. These offers are available for customers choosing either an Unlimited Value or Unlimited Nationwide 4G Data plan. Included in the sale is the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 tablet along with the HTC One S, Galaxy S Relay 4G, Samsung Galaxy S3 (16GB), Galaxy Note II and Nexus 4 smartphones.

All of these devices, with the exception of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and the Galaxy Note II will be free after a mail-in rebate. The Tab 2 10.1 and Note 2, despite being part of a “Zero Down Sale” will each set you back $99.99. Of course, that still means an upfront savings of $100 for the Tab 2 10.1 and $200 for the Note II.

Otherwise, all of these devices (with one exception) will then have an EIP monthly payment of $20. That one exception is the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 which will have a monthly payment of $15. Bottom line here, if you are in the market for a new device from T-Mobile — this looks like as good a time as any to make a purchase. Of course, we have to wonder about any sale that includes the Nexus 4 — a device that is currently listed as out of stock with both T-Mobile and Google.

Google shows off the Nexus 4 camera in latest ad spot

Posted: 19 Dec 2012 01:25 PM PST

While shipping might be a little behind for those hoping to get a shiny new Nexus 4 for Christmas, Google‘s wasting no time showing off their brand new smartphone and some of the awesome features it has. Google’s back with another Nexus commercial today, this time showing users the power of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean‘s Photo Sphere feature to take the perfect holiday photos.

Screen Shot 2012-12-19 at 1.06.16 PM

Today Google’s new commercial is aiming for the hearts of buyers, just like their last few Nexus 7 commercials. They have a family gathered for the holidays and using the LG Nexus 4, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean you can take unique photos of the entire family. Photo Sphere is one of my favorite features on Jelly Bean, and actually works quite well. Check it out on YouTube.

Google aims to change the way you take family photos this holiday season. Now only if they had enough Nexus 4 devices in stock to actually sell to customers, then we could really enjoy the holidays and all the awesome features. As it stands now many are still patiently waiting for their new Nexus 4 to ship, so this video is more of a teaser (of what you can do next year) than anything.

Either way, the LG Nexus 4 and Photo Sphere is an awesome feature, even though I don’t get results quite as perfect as good ol Google did in the video above. I do however love being able to take pictures of the entire room with ease. Check out the image from the video on Google+ then enjoy the feature yourself once you get your own Nexus 4. Happy Holidays guys!

ASUS $99 Nexus 7 leaks again, could be headed to CES

Posted: 19 Dec 2012 12:49 PM PST

We’ve been hearing quite a bit about the next big budget tablet from the folks at ASUS, and possibly Google. Many are calling this a Nexus 7, and while that’s yet to be confirmed, we do know this will be a budget $99 tablet from ASUS running Android Jelly Bean. In what seems to be the norm as of late, the tablet has leaked in benchmarks, and now has appeared on Picasa — making this a legit device. More details below.

3T8A95251-540x3601

Back in September we heard reports that Google and ASUS were preparing a $99 Nexus 7 tablet, then late last month that same tablet appeared in some online benchmark results. Now to complete the usual round of leaks we’re seeing some images uploaded to Picasa (from an ASUS account) testing the camera on this unknown tablet.

asus-me172v-1

As usual we’re able to pull the EXIF data (which can be faked) of the device taking the picture, and that has given us some details yet again on this $99 ASUS branded Android tablet. Clearly the EXIF data shows the same model number, which is ME172V. As a comparison the Nexus 7 is listed by ASUS as the ME370T. This model has been tossed around multiple times as the $99 Nexus 7 tablet from Google and ASUS.

While I’m hesitant to call this a Nexus, one thing is for sure. ASUS is preparing an extremely budget 7-inch 1024 x 600 resolution tablet for the Android world and we’ll be seeing it fairly soon. Most likely we can expect it to be revealed early next month at CES in Las Vegas. Reports are still suggesting a $99 price point, and that is lining up quite nicely about now. Would you buy a $99 budget dual-core low resolution 7-inch tablet. Or spend an additional $100 and get the Nexus 7 with its quad-core glory and HD screen? We’ll have to wait and see.

White Motorola RAZR i coming to the UK on December 22

The Motorola RAZR i was first released in the UK back in early-October, and well, it looks like there will soon be a second model available. This latest is white and it will be available sooner rather than later. The one catch, at the moment it looks like it will only be available with one retailer.

That retailer is Phones 4u and the handset will be available beginning on December 22. According to what we have seen in the press release announcement, Phones 4u will be the “first” to offer the handset in the UK. We only mention first, because as opposed to exclusive, it appears as if the handset will eventually make its way to other retailers.

As far as Phones 4u goes, they will have the handset available for free on pay monthly plans from £20.50 and up. Otherwise, the “i” in the RAZR i name gives the clue to towards the processor — an Intel processor. More specifically, the RAZR i is sporting a single-core 2.0GHz Intel processor.

Aside from the Intel inside, the RAZR i has a 4.3-inch (960 x 540) edge-to-edge display with Gorilla Glass, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 2,000 mAh battery, VGA quality front-facing camera, an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera and a Kevlar fiber coating on the backside.

HTC One XL Jelly Bean update rolling out now

Posted: 19 Dec 2012 12:02 PM PST

Another Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update has started from those folks at HTC. Today it looks like they’ve initiated the rollout of Jelly Bean for their popular HTC One XL for all those lucky owners. For now it appears that multiple regions in Asia have begun receiving the OTA update, and others will follow shortly.

It sounds like Singapore and Taiwan are among a few that started receiving the update last night, and we can expect a broader rollout in the coming days and weeks. HTC’s been rather slow with their updates to the regular HTC One X, so we can expect the same sort of timeframe for the XL. Either way, I’d be checking for updates if I had one. It’s about time the One X’s LTE brother received some Jelly Beans.

Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and Sense UI 4+ is what you’ll be greeted with after updating your One XL. Everything we’ve already seen from previous updates will be present. Users can enjoy Google Now voice search, improved and expanding notifications, project butter, a better camera (thanks to Sense) and a few other notable changes. They’ve improved power management, and of course there’s multiple bug fixes.

As usual the updated firmware is floating around on XDA for those wanting to take that route, or just check for updates yourself on the device and it should be arriving sometime soon for those rocking an HTC One XL in parts of Asia. If you’ve already received the update drop a comment below and let us know how it went. Stay tuned for more details on other regions.

Ouya announces 10 additional game titles ahead of the March console release

Posted: 19 Dec 2012 11:46 AM PST

While the Ouya development consoles should begin shipping out in a few weeks time, the regular $99 console is not expected to arrive until next year. In fact, the last we heard, the $99 console was expected to be available in March. And while that may still be some time away, those waiting for a unit may be happy to learn of 10 newly announced games.

These 10 new games are coming by way of 10 different developers. It seems that the folks at Ouya have been running a contest for developers. Said contest ended today and with that came the announcement of the 10 games. The list of games includes the following; Fist of Awesome, MechKnight Chronicles, Syder Arcade, KidElectro, Space Runner, Legend of Dungeon, iMech Online, DustyRevenge, HolyShield! and Starbound.

Otherwise, while many will remember that the Ouya console began as a Kickstarter offering, it is also now available for pre-order. The Kickstarter offering ended up closing with $8,596,475 in funding from 63,416 backers. A pretty decent amount.

That aside though, those looking to pre-order now can expect to shell out $99 for the console and an additional $30 for each extra controller. That is not all that bad of a deal either, especially considering it is not all that much more than those original Kickstarter backers pledged. If you remember back, you could get a console and controller for $109. Now that would be $139 with both of those prices including shipping for those in the US.
