HTC One mini User Agent Profile confirms name, 720p display, Android 4.2

HTC has posted a new UAProf (User Agent Profile) file which confirms a few details regarding the upcoming HTC One mini. The file refers to the device as the “HTC One mini” and lists a 1280×720 display resolution along with a reference to Android 4.2. UAProf files are used to describes the capabilities of a device, including manufacturer details, model name or number, display resolution and multimedia capabilities.

It’s unclear how long the UAProf has been published, but it’s always reassuring to see official information from HTC which aligns perfectly with the leaks we have seen over the past few months. HTC One mini rumors suggest the device will be made available during the third quarter of this year, but we still no clue if it will be launching on any service providers here in the US.

FCC documents reveal specs for upcoming Asus Nexus tablet

It’s been a year since the debut of the Nexus 7, so it shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone what Google and Asus are gearing up to launch its successor. The ASUS Nexus K009 tablet has made its way through the FCC with documentation which lists quite a few of the device’s internal components. Specs include a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ-8064 S4 Pro processor, 4,000 mAh Li-ion battery, LTE connectivity compatible with T-Mobile and AT&T here in the US and a rear-facing 5 megapixel camera. A similarly named ASUS K008 was recently hit the Bluetooth SIG, suggesting that a WiFi-only variant may be an option for those who do not need a constant LTE connection.

While not specifically listed, the assumption can be made that the ASUS Nexus K009 tablet will feature a 7 to 8 inch display. We have no clue when the Nexus 7 replacement will be available through Google Play or how much it will sell for. Do you think the ASUS Nexus K009 and its spec bump make it a worthy successor to the beloved Nexus 7?
