Well, that was easy. Out of nowhere, the Oppo Find 5 -- arguably one of the nicest Android devices to date -- has been upgraded with a more powerful Snapdragon 600 processor. Who says you need to release an entirely new device to add more power?

We've been doing a bit of trademark snooping recently, and came up one one very interesting character mark by the big, bad Samsung. It's being called the "Samsung GEAR," and while the primary description suggests the name could apply to literally everything under the sun, the secondary one specifically focuses on watches, clocks, wristbands, bracelets and the like which can communicate with phones, PCs and tablets

Motorola will feature an ad for their upcoming Moto X handset in a variety of newspapers hitting newsstands tomorrow. The ad touts the first device that "you can design yourself," as well as its unique "assembled in the USA" manufacturing process. 'Merica.

Rumor: YouTube update to bring ability to search while watching videos

Ryan Socio, a user with an untouchable track record when it comes to Google's Android apps, has leaked some early information about an impending update to YouTube. According to him, the app will soon give users the ability to search for other videos while a video is playing.

The official Android 4.2.2 update has been rolling out to unlocked HTC One units in Asia. More regions should be coming soon.

HTC One S wont be updated to Android 4.2.2 or Sense 5, to remain on Android 4.1.2

An HTC spokesperson has confirmed that the HTC One S will remain on Android 4.1.2 and Sense 4. Sense 5 and Android 4.2.2 have been taken off the table, and are no longer in the cards for the device.

The Google Glass XE7 update took a while to propagate to all Explorer units, but if you haven't been able to get it yet you'll be happy to know that the factory image is now available for download. You'll need to flash it using ADB after gaining root access.
