Motorola reported to feature laminated aluminum, Moto Magic Glass

How about some fresh Motorola rumors to get the week started off? According to Taylor Wimberly (formerly of AndroidAndMe), the upcoming Moto X smartphone will feature a “laminated aluminum structure for a light weight and high strength design” as well as a new glass design called Moto Magic Glass.

Reportedly, the glass is one sheet of Gorilla Glass that wraps around the front of the device to the side edges and blends seamlessly against the back. This zero-gap stuff is said to be molded to a special polymer and create a continuous surface.

Motorola will officially unveil the Moto X later this week and we’re only too excited to get our hands on one of these phones. Sadly, this glass tech and fine attention to details is often overlooked by the average consumer. Either way, we’ll be happy to see if it’s noticeable or worth paying close attention.
